Playing Music to your plants

I don't know if it works or doesn't work....If someone can find me a song that increases the resin head production let me know. One thing is for sure....The mythbusters are a bunch of duesh bags. I don't trust the results those idiots put out.

im sure the only reason big companies arent doing this is because of noise pollution. if youve got one or two plants then your sweet. i agree with the ipod i dont think there would be a great deal of difference when volume is low which is probaly why death metal music would be best suited because it usually involves massive walls of sound.

one thing mythbusters didnt do was just play an 600Hz tone or 1 - 6KHz tone. I believe it would be vibration but then the grower wouldnt be able to enjoy some great fucking music.

i agree...i have my ipod hooked up to a sweet speaker system that i blast pretty loud sometimes...it stays on 24/7..also, big companies aren't doin it cause they don't care about quality..i have no doubt you can grow good weed without music playing, but better weed can be grown with it! it may not be proven on a stupid tv show, but i feel that because plants are living things they react to positve feelings and vibrations...

fuck yeh man....instead of playing music though i serenate my plant with my face melting solos .......one i learnt recently is heavyweight solo by infected mushroom ......off the fucken charts you have to check it out

Plants are determined by their biology. Music does NOTHING to them. Period.

That's not nay-saying - that's science. I mean, come on man... Music making your buds better? Humans respond to music because we have the capacity to understand aesthetic evaluations (in other words, we are analytically conscious). Plants are not conscious. Period. Could they have some secret place where a brain and nervous system resides? No. To put it in the common parlance, we know for a fact that marijuana plants DO NOT have the capacity for conscious awareness.

Do we know how the plant responds to ALL stimuli? No, not yet. But even leaving the possibility that a plant might respond to music open is simply silly. Another example of the gullibility of stoners, which ultimately damages our image. It's one thing I dislike about stoners very much - uneducated gullibility. So sad.

haha wow bro, you're an asshole!! trying to get all scientific, i can't even understand that babble...when babies are in the woom they are a small blob and yet the music helps them...i feel like you think plants, including marijuana are enanament objects, their living things and people for thousdands of years belive they have a soul and some believe you can communicate with em...i'm not gonna argue with ya, it's your opinion, i just don't like how you lay it down like a know it all scientist! chill out bro...can it hurt the plants?? Wow I never thought this would go this far... but I do like all the responses to the the question. Next thing I think I will see is people playing Rock Band to their plants. But after many of the responses I think it could make a difference and at worst not hurt them.

haha, yeah, things tend to go far on here no matter what, just so many different kinds of folks, i love it...the variables must be the same in order to see if it made a difference, but it can't hurt...i also talk to my ladies everyday, and just hangout with em for the co2 i give em...

my plants are in my guitar room and i play to them every day. death metal, jazz, surf rock, the plants love it all.

on mythbusters they found that heavy metal was what he plants responed tobest. go to mythbusters to getacurate resultes. its been a wilescinceisaw that epasode. as i rember they played it 24/7. start them off with some metalica or pantera maybe rammstein duhast. sorry for the badspelling too stoned to t ype.

My wife has been a research biologist for the last 23 years at a major university. I showed her your 'theory' and she laughed. Enough said...

She works with plants and only plants. She has a terminal degree in microbiology. She knows what she's talking about. And yes, inquiry into this matter is closed. Not to be an ass, but it's science man. Some things we know. It's the nature of science to discover and when tested and proved, to state as fact - it's that simple. I'm not being an ass. I'm a professor, my wife's a professor....our lives revolve around educating others and eradicating myths. Sorry if that offends you.

And don't get me started on mythbusters. It's a television show and by no means authoritative. Trust me people, playing music to your plants doesn't help. It cannot hurt them, but it DOES NOT help. Waste electricity - I don't care......

I just hate that all weed smokers get a bad name because normal people hear stoners say things like what your stating. No one takes us seriously (or our movement) because of all the ridiculous things being said by those who smoke weed regularly. You simply make yourself a target for anti-marijuana advocates. I can see it now - it'll be the next anti-dope commercial. It shows a kid treating his plants as though they're human beings - feeding them, playing them music, taking them to church, stroking them and taking them for walks... Grandma and grandpa are watching the television and think, "just look at what weed does to those kids. what a shame..." And they're right.....what a shame.

CO2 helps plants and CO2 is distributed from our mouths when we talk or breath. However, it's not the TALKING that helps - it's the CARBON DIOXIDE. So, instead of sitting in my room talking to my plants, I have a CO2 generator. Get your facts straight and tighten up your causality man.

i play a cd called "Natures Relaxing Sounds - Singing Birds" 24/7 for my plants.
i want them to think and feel like they are out in the wild.
of course its also for me so that when i go do a "welfare check" i am relaxed as well.

i'm done with you Jr, mr know it all...you talk to me like i'm you're student, i could care less what you say...keep growing your bunk weed and i'll do what i do...peace and unsubscribed.
