Hey guys thought id get some expert opinions I'm a little worried about these plants in the aerogarden lowryder 2 and a half weeks from germination. So i bought foxfarm big bloom and grow big for nutes and at the 2 week mark my plants were starting to look a little sickly so i added a small dose of nutes to my resovoir. I put 1 tblspoon of big bloom organic and a half teaspoon of growbig in the reservoir on day 15 of the plants. This is what I'm seeing in my plants any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks for any help.

Flush and clean aerogrow . add 7.5 ml of grow only . Bloom is for the last 4-5 weeks . Switch to Bitonicare and follow the 12 week schedule . Good Luck

Immediately clean flush your aerogrow, or as the technical term I like to use....flip it.

I'm not going to tell you to switch to a different brand of nutrients because I don't know anything about Fox Farm's hydro nutes. I personally thought they only made soil! I use GH 3-part series, which has been around for years and I've used it successfully in many grows. It may not be the best in everyone's eyes, but its tough to find people that say it doesn't work at all. So its a safe bet in my book. Botanicare though...I've never used. To each their own..

So...that looks like a major Nitrogen deficiency. Which would make sense because plants in veg use a large amount of nitrogen in comparison to flowering. It sounds as though you gave them mostly flowering nutrients, which usually contain low amounts of nitrogen. So a nitrogen deficiency isn't all that surprising. That all said, you could be experiencing other issues as well...which is why Hobie was right in the first place, flip the system in the instances that you don't know what is wrong.

Lastly, but not least...I would suggest that you maybe get a book off Amazon or something. (my fav: http://goo.gl/dosSn) Not trying to be a dick at all...(I've ordered now 4 marijuana horticulture books from them). I say this because it seems your plants are extremely in need of N and perhaps with a little education, you could have caught this earlier and given your ladies a better chance at survival. Hobie wished you good luck cuz your ladies are hurting bad! You would hope to see green at the new growth sites...but even that is dismal.

Keep posting pics and let us know you get along, we're here to help!

I say you gave them to much food and to early I would have started at half a teaspoon per gallon since thier so young looking hope that works and good luck and go with the GH series they have worked better for me than the fox farms series

Growitponifarm: what are the directions on your nutes? I don't use the ones you're using but it certainly looks like a combination of nute burn and nutrient deficiency. What's your pH? They could be locked out. You might want to flush them for a few days and start over while you still can. The guy who teaches our hydro classes recommends 1/2 dose on the first feeding, followed by full strength, and 1/2 strength for the last two weeks flowering. I haven't tried it because I haven't had any nute problems with the ones I use but you might want to consider it.
