Plants smell and are only 3 inches tall? Normal?

My new clones are only 3 inches tall and the already smell like weed? Small leaves appear to have crystals on them too. Is this normal?

thats a good thing lol. mine are from seed and there starting to smell. there 16 days old

Ya that'll happen but different strains will have different odors and different strength of odor. Some will smell little and others more than others. Some may smell a little during veg some may smell alot. It all depends on the strain, besides it's a smelly plant you're going to smell it sooner or later.

I hope you have a carbon scrubber or some sort of odor control to protect your grow.
