plants look underwatered and nitrogen deficient is my ph the problem or is it something else

Nate - N deficient. All mine when they went out at the start of May began yellowing at the first true leaves. Growing outdoors means A LOT more lumens, which in turn means they grow faster. Faster growth means more food is needed.

Males grow the fastest like way faster the need to developers pollen before the females flower so the grow extremely fast. And seedlings only need water and a porus soil to dry quickly for the first couple weeks. Everything a seed needs to make it is stored in the cotyledons "baby seed leaf"the 1st leave to emerge after the germination. We all want the biggest and best. Sometimes in this case especially less is more and none is best
