Plants getting too old??

my plants are a few months old and still in veg. they are really big now and the next two leaves that are growing out from the top of my best plant thats a bush about a foot and a half has 11 pedals. ( just to get a figure on how old they are). Anyways, the first two leaves on the very bottom turned yello at the tips then the whole pedal then I pruned them off cause they were shrivaling n shit. These were the first set of leaves with only 1 pedal. However, the next set of leaves (the ones with 3 pedals) are doing the same and I already had to prune the one side. Some people told me that I should start flowering but I was wondering wat was causing this to happen. Can I continue to grow my plant bigger or should I keep the plant at its best and just head for the flowering stage to conserve its energy.

i first was thinking this would be about a mother plant, but no:D

no, your plant is not too old to flower, flowering is started by light cycle and not age of the plant, which is quiet a need trick;)
so cut the light cycle down to 12/12 and it will bloom for you:)
also should a plant have maturity before flowering it, and that takes at least 8 weeks for cannabis, so it is a good thing to wait a bit, so well done:)

oh, before you now flower your baby, watch out with height since it will double its in flower, sometimes even triple!
so if this may become an issue for you in your grow, top it now before flower a bit and tie it down later in flower since topping then cuts into yield like a motherf******;)

cool, thanks. But I was more conserned about the browning and death of the bottom leaves. Like I said, Its slowly working its way up the plant. The 3 pedal leaves are about to drop off and the first set of 5 pedal leaves are a bit yellow tinted. However the rest of the plant is healthy and growing well. Its just started needing watering about everyday so maybe I need to add more nutreints??? I dunno. I just hope that If I continue to veg. that It doesnt slowly die.

or maybe it needs more water with less nutreints??? I dunno. right now I have 1 teaspoon of grow, micro, and bloom for every quart if that helps at all.

noo, as you stated that thing is really bushy and shit, so the light won't make it to the lower fan leaves anymore.
you can stop that a bit by dangling down some cfls in the 2700K range, "warm light" called, these are cfls high on red light which is best for flowering;) that should take care of this;)

Mr I Can Do That For Half
It probably light.I have had my current mommies in veg since december now in 5 gallon buckets and they are little over 5 feet tall and since taking last clones about 3 feet around and I get drop leaves and dying bottom foliage as Im using just 1 1000 watt h on them which does good but light cant get to bottom so down there leaves die and growth slows. As long as you dont root bind the plant in a small pot you can keep them going indefinately in veg stage
