plants drooping in dwc

Hello RIU I'm giving dwc a whirl and I just can't seem to get these ladies dialed in. First off I transplanted into my buckets way too soon and top fed way too much. After some much needed advice I lowered my water level to the bottom of the net pot and cut back watering to once a day.
After 3 looongg weeks my roots finally hit the res. Finally I'm in the clear bracing myself for some explosive growth...... Or so Ithought lol.
After researching for days I read that drooping means 2 things underwater/overwater. I figured I must not have enough oxygen being pumped into my water so I added bigger pump and xtra stone two days later still no improvement?
My res temps are 72 which I know is not ideal but I'm also running Dutch master zone as a precaution. Ppms are 250 and 180 of that is my tap Wtf am I doing wrong???

My roots are not slimy at all but all the current and bubbling in my bucket has them a Lil tangled doubtful that has anything to do with it. Res is not cloudy or smelly I'm gettin really close to tearing these bitches down n starting over :(

Don't know that this is the great plant saving advice you've been waiting for but....

So I know you're in DWC, but your plants look over watered. heh... I know I know... Anyway, your water level is still too high. You don't want it up to the bottom of the pot once you get your roots. Lower your water level even more. 1 to 1.5 inches will create a nice cozy zone in there.

I wouldn't water them any less though, in fact at some point you may want to up your watering again..... Just keep that zone in there.

Hope it all works out.

thanks man once my roots hit the res i did lower my water level a Lil hopin they'd perk up n reach for the light but Damn if they don't look like they're sleeping
Hate to admit it but I Def googled if plants sleep lol
Prob only lowered it 3/4 inch so I'll try lowering it a tad more and see if that helps. That's good to know about the hand watering I actually stopped doing it once roots hit the res so I'll reinstate that as well. You the man think this is the plant saving advice I was waitin for!

It's actually just humic acids my ph immediately after res change tends to fluctuate a Lil for a day or so but I'm usually on it and It's never out of range.
I normally shoot for 5.5 and allow it to climb to 6.2-6.5 and knock it to 5.8 where it hasn't budged for the past 4 days.
I lowered my water level another inch last night still see no improvement.
As for the roots no slime but there's Def some sorta lock out I'll take some pics here in a minute

Pretty sure that diamond nectar shit is straight organics... I wouldn't put i
I would guess ph is off, or root problems.

Whoa... correction on my part. I apologize, for some reason thought you were set up for top feeding. Yea... no reason to top feed if your roots are that long and in the water. Is your new growth looking better? It looks like your plants are recovering from the last pics you put up. You may lose some lower leaves but watch how your plant is responding through your new growth.

Once again, I hope it works out for ya.

What you're doing wrong is 250ppm. It should be way higher. With higher concentration, new leaves should grow in with higher turgidity (cellular water pressure). At too high of a concentration, leaves will become hard and brittle.

Ppms are 250 and 180 of that is my tap Wtf am I doing wrong???

The way things have been going lately for me all I can do is pass on what I read from heath robinson, see those thick roots you have they are called cord roots a waste of energy caused by water level being below netpot. I tested that out when I had everything rocking,it
was as he said. Your new growth looks good to me.I use 5gl buckets when I have a problem I check PH first,if that isn't it I change out the bucket with new nutes one of those usually fixes it. Peace GL

So keep the water level at the bottom of the net pot?

Thanks everyone for the insight. Ihad little bits of root matter floating in the res so I went ahead and changed again.
Upon inspecting the roots some of them seemed very weak so I rinsed real well w phed water n lightly tugged all the dead roots off ( prob not the right move but I didn't want anymore dead roots rotting in the res) quite a few gave away quite easily so I must of had some sorta rot I dunno? still no slime or smell?
I went ahead and upped my ppms to 450 and will let y'all know how things look tom. I also threw another bean in a rooter just in case lol.

The diamond nectar website straight up says organic... I wouldn't use it unless bubbled in bennie tea, foliar spray, or you know of other people that are using it with success in DWC. Not sure about fulvic acid since it is supposed to be a chelator or something, but most organics need microbes to break them down and make nutrients available.

Typically organics in mediumless hydro fucks shit up for us regular folk. Pulling off dead roots is the right thing... you don't want them rotting in the res and the plants should quickly grow new roots. nameno is correct too... I have also noticed the roots grow into cords when left above the water line. There should be enough DO in the water that you don't need a giant gap, and the more water volume you have the more stable your system will be.

Bumping up nute ppm won't do anything if the roots are dead.
