Plants are touching the light

Hey people. I have some mothers that have grown tall enough to touch the light. I am unable to raise the light any higher so they are getting burned. Short of raising the roof do you have any recommendations? Should i just chop her top off at the main stem?

Yeah but in my setup i can't really. These are my mothers that i'm cloning off of. I have 6 in a 2x3 tray. So there is barely any room standing let alone pulled over. Thanks.

Sorry, but, It looks like you need a new, taller box.......you could top, but then I would start new moms asap, and maybe lst them to keep them shorter. Maybe get a "More Indica" strain, most Indicas are shorter in stature.

yeah, chop it off, then do it again after your next cloneing,so you can keep her low with lots of branches, for new clones

suppercrop them. do a quick search. ther are plenty of threads that explain the process. you basically pinch the stem, move your fingers 90 degrees and pinch again.

Supercropping is great, I do it as well. But in THE CHARGER FANS "lOl" situation, it would only give him a couple of days before they recover and stand up, touch the light and he's back where he started.........

great thanks, i'll look into it.

If i chop the top off, should i limit the cut to a certain amount? Say a third of the total height or so?

Take a count of the nodes, remove upper 1/3, wait 5 days or so, so it can heal. then supercrop the top 2 sets of branches, this will stimulate the lower branches into growing more. in the meantime get some replacement moms ready........

I was/am assuming the picture he shows is old. He states that they are touching the light now.......

you are correct, the pictures were from at least a week ago. They are completely touching the lights. I've cut em down about a third and will wait a few days before doing anything else.
