What's with all the pH and checking runoff? Runoff is basically worthless as a measurement when growing in soil. I don't know why so many soil growers fiddle fart around with pH. It used to be something only hydro growers worried about. I have 4 outdoor plants in soil and I water them straight from the tap like I've done for decades both indoors and outdoors with soil plants. My tap is well above 7. Soil has buffering agents in it to balance the pH. Chasing runoff measurements in soil is a good way to mess up the soil balance and can lead to one problem after another. Like a dog chasing its tail running around in circles.
