Planting seed near creek

im planning on planting around 14 seeds in the forest and i have a few questions id like answered.

1. Is planting them on the bank of a creek, or on the side of a hill a good idea? its very green around these areas so i would think the plants would love it + very sunny.

2. DO i want to plant directly into the ground? about how deep and far apart?

3. the dirt is more wet then dry at this time of the year in Oregon, can my plant seedlings survive a couple stormy nights until about the beginning of June?

i wouldnt plant them on the bank because of risk of flooding. but you can plant them near it because the watershed levels raise near a river or creak or lake/pond.

it depends on what type of plant it is or hpw far apart they are.

You have to make sure that the creek won't overflow and kill your plants, it is not a good idea to grow on a bank of a creek because water levels are always unpredictable. As for the side of the hill, if it rains a lot there will be erosion and that can fuck with your plants.. but if you level it flat on the hill with back boards you won't have to worry about erosion.

start off with germinating the seeds once you see the tail stick it in the pod you can take care of them, water em daily, and when they get about 7-10" plant them in the soil.

Like I said in number 2. Take care of them don't plant them until they are 7-10" other wise if you plant the seeds directly into the ground 40-60% of the seeds will sprout. and then they could die from storms...

well there just random seeds ive collected from stronger weeds, id throw seeds away from shitty weed. but its always been dense weed + 4 purple afghan strains i was told

one more thing about the sides of creeks is people walking the creek bed. no matter how far away from people you think it is if you walk it most likely someone else does to. i like walking creek beds and looking for rocks. there is not one running water source in ten miles from my house i havent walked,some of them many times a year. its alot of fun to walk creek beds id advise to go a short distance away from it if you can.
