i just planted a ak48 seed could anyone help me by tellin me how many watts of energy saver bulbs i will need before i see some growth.

Doesn't need any light until it breaks the soil, but its good if you can warm it. When it breaks the surface it will only want soft light, 15 -30 w CFL would do that nicely. When its more developed, four or more real leaves, you will want more intense light, for a single plant a 50w MH would be good. Grow it to the size you want, may need more light if you grow it real big, then you would want to flower under a 80w HPS. You dont have to have all these different lights, you could do the whole grow under just one type of light, this is just how I would do it If I grew 1 plant.

OK try this, it will Cover a single plant from seed to full maturity, as long as you don't grow a +5ft monster.

you would want to use a reflector with it.

thanks but imabsolutley skint energy savers are cheaper to buy could i not just buy as many as i need and then put reflector on top im gonna frow in pc grow case

I guess if you can get up to 50w total of energy bulbs in there you would be good. Wether this is 2 25w or 5 10w up to you. More bulbs means better coverage but less intensity. What you need to look for is th Kernal (K) rating of the bulbs, this determines the light spectrum. Blue light for vegging 6500K and red light for flowering 2700K. Mix and match will work as long as you have more Red than blue when flowering.

Also you probably wont need a reflector in a pc case grow as most a cases are reflective inside, beware of heat and have good ventilation.

2700k for flower. Check out some of my pics in my albums for decent low cost CFL setups I have

i live in the uk and there energy savers here not cfls but they are the same you can get them for free instead of paying for them in the uk .

They are called CFL's, there are different types of energy saver bulbs and CFL's are the most common and the type the council give out free, and very good for growing. Im from blighty also.
