Planted too many different strains!!

This is truly a lesson to me...
Got all hyped in the seed game...
and my newbie ass planted different strains instead of pheno hunting a particular pack.. poor planning and management...

Now some of these plants are ok with certain things while others will freak out if the slightest thing is off.. for example one will take heat better than others... some need more water other need none..

8 strains at once...a major lack of consistency...but there’s no doubt I will grind it out... and learn:wall:

It’s a great experience tbh I would try and soak in as much knowledge per strain as possible. I’m about to attempt to grow 6 different strains with roughly 20-30 clones.

Maybe write a journal. Tell us about your strains and we can share knowledge

Best way to learn and pick keepers in my opinion unless you really want a specific strain. Best way to to do it is to run nutes lower than you would if you were mono cropping. That way sensitive plants don't get burned. Pinch any tall branches that shoot up (just pinch til you feel a small snap not all the way off) during the first 2-3 weeks of flower and that should help even up the canopy some. If a shorter plant smokes good but didn't yield well it could be because was shorter so keep it and try running it again before tossing.

I feel like this is the best way to learn and also to find plants that you enjoy growing and smoking. And also it helps to find plants that are better suited to your room and grow style. After you do find some keepers and have some experience then you can really start to dial in your keepers. I try to keep a few strains that do well running with each other as far as size and nute wise that way I can have some variety. Like I have a couple plants the don't stretch at all or eat much so they do good together, then I have some that stretch a lil more and will eat way more and I run them together.

8 strains, say 5 seeds a pack thats potentially 40 girls all wanting different treatment! Been there done it what a nightmare.
I feel your pain.
I will only run a 12 pack of regulars now days alongside my previously chosen keepers, its a lot less stress and if they turn out to be a load of shit i only wasted a 1 meter tray and still have the bulk of my garden producing like i know it will.
Hope your not planning to dry in your grow area because its unlikely they will be ready at the exact same time, this is the worst thing when some are finished and ready to chop and some want longer but you have to pull them out too soon! but not a problem if your drying in a seperate area.

A bit of an update..
My Acapulco is doing fine other than the fender bender(trunk split).. should be finishing up in 2 weeks smells GREAT.. I clipped a bottom bud for an 8 week tester.. will do this at 9 &10 weeks...
Barney Farms Critical Kush.. didn’t make it...I blame myself!!
My Soar.. I placed in a 1 gallon hempy... I truly love this plant... no matter what the sex is... it’s a keeper
My Genius Granddaddy has been placed in a 1 gallon hempy as well... took me a while to get this one going... but I’ve somewhat dialed the nute and ph so things are picking up..I may keep this as a mum..
Rosetta XX is currently 2 weeks into flower beautiful around 2 ft tall after mainlining.. my be taller than my AG..took a clone from her just Incase I like it...growing rapidly
My Starfighter F2... I like this plant also... it has stay short and stout.. the way you like a plant.. sorta small but I think I stunted her trying to train her...she looks like a nice Houseplant..very strong structure... can take the heat.. seems to be cloning well too... hopefully it takes..
My Lucky Wookie 8... in flower.. I’ve seen the pistils... calling it July 4... confirmation date of sex...
My Chinook Haze... I totally screwed this plant up...@ 7 weeks it’s the oldest and ugliest..I messed the soil up soil I redid it.. trimmed it up so we will see...I’m just gonna let it grow.. but if there is no improvement I will toss it in a 1/2 gallon hempy and pray for the bests..

Do not SCROG them together! Trust me. You’ll not stop doing this either I’ll bet. I still do it. Every year. And every year people have to come pick some up to flower after the first freeze in early September.

LOL...I have 55 different strains going at the moment. Not all in flower, but I often have as many as 20 different strains flowering in the same room in a perpetual grow. Needless to say, I like variety. I like the challenge of balancing all their light requirements and nutritional preferences. Sometimes it doesn't work out perfect, but I always manage to get a good crop. I don't worry too much about perfectly even canopy, and I still manage to grow some very nice buds. Everyone has their own growing style...some of us crazier than others!

Slight complication but I will figure this out... I thought heat stress but no others show any sign.. then I believe it was watering..trying new shit was a failure.. back the original way.. I watered this plant from the bottom of some heavy nutes... it ended up getting water logged.. so I transplanted it..I think this happened because I was showing too much attention to my flowering plants... I ain’t got no smoke!!! So I was watching them more.

Ha ha ! I remember that feeling. It's easy to be patient when your stash is full!

Update:
I’m now at day 60.. I had planned on giving her till 70.. she’s ready now.. I thoroughly checked the trichomes and they are on point... more amber than I would like but since it’s Sativa I’m gonna try to hold off til Monday.. this will be the last few days for her under low light and temps... plan to chop on day 63 (9w).. I would say the breeder got the time table correct... took off and never slowed down... hopefully it cures up... so I can smoke it up..plus I guess it’s getting to heavy.. leaning over more.. I let it hoping I get more light to bottom buds..

Fellas this has been a great grow.. I learned so much...

I’m thinking about letting the chinook and starfighter go...I’m struggling with them ..
After reporting the star fighter I realize the roots were bad.. clipped the tree down roots and all.. damn near a start over... I will just see them out... I may just hempy it :wall:.. aside from all this... I’ve noticed my hempy plants are a lighter green.. no bottom yellowing so I will only give 1/8 strength nutes... my ph pen broke..:| a bummer:?:

Small update... Chinooks a male... grown balls everywhere... not even gonna check further...kinda glad, maybe the next draw will be a female... I suspected this... I have never seen a seedling grow as tall as it did... if find I picture.. I’ll post it again...

On a brighter note...shoot... some of my clones have taken root...my XX and & star fighter.. bout to sex them (sf) outta here if I c balls...
