Planted Single Seed Got 10 Sprouts?

OK so i planted some seeds about 3-4 weeks ago since then they've been sprouting up multiple leaves sets in a single pot. Was wondering if anyone could explain?

Your title said you planted a single seed and your message says you planted some seeds. Which is it, a single seed or multiple seeds?

yea same as what he said is it a single seed or more? if its a single seed u might have to contact ripley's but most likely someone put a bunch of bag seeds in the pot. not good...

Id start plucking the small ones now before their roots spread and take hold.

only one is canabis the rest are just plain weeds that come with cheep soil

those dont look like weeds to me. u can clearly see the cotyledons

but the 2nd pair of leaves dont look serated maby with a clearer pic

ok i planted multiple seeds but i planted them in different pots none were mixed and none might have slipped in another pot that plant was replanted from a smaller cup when it had a single shoot, ive had this problem with almost all of the pots so far.

this is another pot see same thing is going on only 3 other leaf sets tho they're def marijuana leafs

I don't think it's weed. just weeds growing in cheap soil like the other guy said.. Thats happened to me a few years ago when I planted with the dirt from outside lol.

yeah, some soil grows a ton of weeds.. thats all you have.. i have seen one seed sprout 2 plants once or twice before but nothing like this.. you definitely have just crap weeds. pull the small stuff and leave your big pot sprout.

OK, there are only a few things that can be happening here.

1. You are using dirt you dug up from outside which is full of other seeds (elm tree seedlings look very similar to MJ seedlings at that size). It looks like you have potting soil from the pictures but if you mixed outside dirt with your potting soil you could have put all kinds of other seeds in there.

2. You are using VERY bad potting soil that is full of other seeds. I personally don't think this is the case because I have never seen that many unwanted weeds come from any potting soil I use. Those seedlings also look like either MJ or something that looks like it at that age. They do not look like the normal weeds that I occasionally see come up in potting soil.

3. This is the one that I think is happening. You are either unknowingly planting in soil that you have already put other MJ seeds in, or someone else is putting MJ seeds in your pots when you aren't looking. It looks like I can see a pot seed in the picture you posted of all the seedlings you pulled out, but it's blurry so I can't be sure. If you have friends come over and smoke they might be cleaning their weed & throwing the seeds into your pots without you knowing.

I would recommend that you go buy a bag of Fox Farm Ocean Forest potting soil and plant your seeds into that. Make sure nobody else has access to your pots that might be throwing bagseeds or whatever else into them. Take your biggest MJ plants and replant them into the Ocean Forest soil, they will thank you for it!

How high were you when you planted the seed/s ?
