Ive heard of a lot of people doing this, i believe its fine as long as you don't shake the plant too much or drop it. But lucky you! you got a nice sativa I'm jealous. I really want a nice pure sativa, but it always seems like i get indicas and mixed sativa/indica.
Yea thanks man. Sativa was body high? I forget :D They dont shake at all, and I always move them with extreme care and set them down as softly as possible.

New Question: How do you transplant it from the 3 gallon pots you see, to a 5 without disturbing the root system? It seems difficult and I dont want to hurt the plant, But I know it will need the 5 gallon pot soon. Thanks for the input.

First, let the soil dry out a bit, this makes it a little easier. Then, squeeze the sides of the container all the way around gently just to loosen the root ball. Then, place a hand over the soil with the stem between your thumb and pointer finger and flip the container upside down. Then, use the other hand to pull the container off the root ball. If it's stuck, squeeze around the container more to loosen. After that, immediately place the plant into the larger container and fill with soil. It helps sometimes to put some soil in the larger container first and sort of plan how much room the plant will take up and how much soil to add. Next, water the soil generously. Make sure no roots are showing after watering. That's about it. Just don't disturb the plant too much or leave the roots exposed to light and you wont stress them out too much. I hope that helps!

Ahh no i believe sativa is head high and indica is body high, like couch lock. Atleast i think i like sativa :P not sure with the shit we get around here. But last time i soked what i think was sativa it was really fun, i didnt feel burnt out like indica and i wanted to go out and do things, like explore by a river and be amazed as large boats moved by and manuvered through the river. Pretty fun experience so thats why i think i like sativa lol

Cool thread, I spent the past 20 minutes reading the whole thing. Subscribed. Any news on depicting females from males?

Sweet, it seems simple as a pimple...maybe something to do not high :wall: So it would also be best to do this in the shade right? The sun here is killer intense. Thank you tons for you input, really helps.

Well this entire thread has seen 10 plants...1 was a male(killed it) 4 died because I got sick and never watered the poor babies. Then I planted 5 more, 2 of which are now in the ground in my mothers garden as ornaments, and then the most current 2 females both in 3 gallon pots on page 4, then the other 1 died. These 2 are it though. They're gonna make it for sure. As for depicting males from females, its easy as hell...just look for little balls(male) OR consistent growth of the little bulbs with white hairs(female) Keepers.

New Question: Is trimming the fan leaves to reduce weight so as to promote height growth a good or bad thing?

No i don't think trimming fans leaves even increases height growth. If i am not mistaken if you trim the fan leaves the plant gets bushier. When the fan leaf is cut off a new shoot usually grows in its place promoting bushy growth. Correct me if i sm wrong though. But as far as i know it creates some stress on the plant but it should recover soon after.

Update! She's looking good and has 12 spots where buds will come in..more will sprout unless I clip her top and stop the height growth. Let me know what you all think I should do. Im thinking she needs a bigger pot :/

looks great.. depends on how high you can let it grow.. and your pot would be fine in that pot. but it would never hurt to give a bigger one none the less.

Its not like it'll die though because of the size of the pot right? I mean i can still generate a descent yield with this set up right? And I guess if I were to transplant it'd be within days.

I've been thinking about growing a plant lately, but I know NOTHING whatsoever about growing bud ... So I think I'm going to wait until next year .. I heard It's a bit late to start growing outdoors anyway .. Nice plant by the way.
