You might wanna do some sums.

Cost of heating room for 3 months vs 3 months worth of smoke from dealer

how do you know when your plants are ready for 12/12? True i will def save in long run. If i can get any buds i will invest in some lights or something as i have room

got around 40 cm left but i plan on taking a clone off top when it touches the glass, not to sure how to do that yet lol.
you could try to LST (bend it over) to limit the height.

do you have air ventilation / circulation?

next time consider an auto, as they will start flowering sooner and no worries about the light schedule

I have grown several plants indoors with sunshine, it works well and produces reasonable volumes, well worth the effort

cheers

What's these autos i keep hearing about?

whats these auto flowering never heard of that, yeah i got good air circulation. ive looked at videos of bending but my plant feels like it will snap so i never done it
auto's don't need 12/12 of light to flower....they typically start to flower at about 4 weeks old.

this allows your plants to stat flowering sooner during the peak of summmer

Looks like a fun project! Keep an eye on your temperatures and it should work out for you. Get a thermometer that records daily highs and lows.

If you want buds before October you'll have to do something about the light schedule eventually.
