The idea of water cure is this..
THC (and apparently the other host of possible psychoactive ingredients) in cannabis is NOT water soluble..
Organic plant matter in a water cure stays relatively in tact, but it leeches out anything that IS water soluble.. (i.e. every fert, spary, chemical you likely ever put on it) and it removes them.
In short (and do google and research before taking my advice on anything.. ever).. you take your dope.. fresh harvested, or already dried, it makes no real difference.
you submerge the bug gently in ROOM TEMP water and leave it there 24 hours.
Then you gently pour out the old water and replace it with new water again and let it sit 24 hours and repeat.
You do this day in and day out for 7 days..
On the 7th day you take the product out of the water, and it dries very very quickly if you place a fan on it.. hit it with a blow drier.. or hang in a closet and keep a small fan running.. it will dry in hours..
Perfectly (subjective) cured.. it will last for years stored correctly and never lose potency.
It also 'in theory' gives you more psychoactive punch per hit than before because you have eliminated all the non psychoactive nonsense in it you usually put in your body.
Although you lose about 10 percent of weight.
Most say it is the smoothest smoke they ever have had, yet many don't like it for that very reason, they want to taste their work.. it reduces taste to almost nothing.. just cool pure smoke.

So the disadvantages are you lose weight, you lose flavor.
The advantages are it get's you silly stoned and a big plus for many people who have family or live in apts, there is NO odor when cured this way,
Again, research 'cannabis water cure' or something in google... take nothing I say seriously.. I'm just one fly on on a very big wall.
Peace~!
