Plant split should I chop?

Here are pictures of an Amethyst that split in a storm last night. It is too windy still to work on it but tomorrow I will repair it and put up pics to show just how resilient these Ladies really are.

I had a break as well. As long as its still attached by a thread itll survive. Just keep them out of the dirt. I went with the lazy method but you could put the branches back upright with support....man idk why I only caged half my plants. Lol
