Hi RIU,
Im currently running 2 5gal DWC bucket. under 4 feet T5 with eight tubes. 3 inches from the top of the plant.
As you can see in these pics. my plants just stunned and getting worst. I thought it could be short of cal-meg. I flush it and cut my base nutrient half and add some cal-meg. nothing help!!
Pls check out there pics, any feedback would be helpful for me. thanks!

For one, they're burned from being over fed. Where did you get the clones from? Could they have mites?
Over fed!? my EC its only 0.6 how could this possible? for clones Its from my last run veg.
I dont think there is any mite. do I flush again?
Thanks for your feedback

Yeah but, you said you cut your nutes in half. Were you running at 1200 ppm prior to cutting them in half? I'm a organic soil guy but 1200ppm's for clones sounds high to me..

I just took a pic of bottom of net pot. Have some brown root, but most are milky white.
As the second pic shows. Upper side getting worst.

They are for like a month old. They all root out already. They were fine under 400w mh. I changed to t5 I just bought it two weeks ago. i have more fresh cuts in the same room, and I was afraid mh light would be too strong for them. I want to see how t5 tube veg tho. Mh light gets too hot in summer even use air cool. T5 Less heat and less watt use.

So I just flush with ec 0.1 tap water. Not sure what else I can do now.
Crab Pot thanks for your feedback again!
Any feedback from experienced growers are welcome!

Ive only done dwc in 5 gals my whole life. Ive had every problem. You let you problem get very very bad before doing anything so this makes it very hard to dignose as they are almost dead. And at that stage I'll say sorry that happened dude.

You can save them but your backed up 3 weeks. Which is fine. But to me I have a hard to to tell whats wrong. I feed my bitches 2.1 veg sometimes if im lazy. Your ec isnt too high.

EDIT - Just saw your second pics. Your golden dude. As your roots are recovering or are not the issue. You may be out of the hole.

To me you have/ had a pH issue for a week or more. Or are running a superrrrrr strong in nitrogen setup for the past few weeks. Either way. Dont flush with phd water or waste time.

Empty that res. And fill it with 5.7-6.0 pH 1/4 strength as compared to the schedule on your chart. Flushing it with water under lights makes it work for nothing. It needs nutes. DWC. Your hydro.

So anyways. Id do that. And then leave them. Whats your temp and Hum? Are they stable? Do you have a lighting scheduled or are you 24? Do you get drafts often from doors opening and closing of cold cold air.

Do you live in the colder parts here? Them bitches hate when you change temps when the lights are on. Drafts etc. (over a period of weeks)

What nutes you use?

Your roots look like they had a problem and are recovering fast. How do your babies look today bud? I hope better?

I see clawing and burning. Wheres the level of water in comparison to the bottom of the net pot?
Thanks for your feedback
My water level is 1 inch higher than net pot since they are still young. When I get more roots I lower the water level 1 inch lower then pot. What do you think?

.6 is still high for that small of plants, what nutrients are you using?
Thanks for the feedback
I'm using GH three parts with Lucas formula. Heard some ppl said its not good when fix NPK. I might change back to the schedule that bottle recommend with half strength when flip. Still wondering if only use gh three parts is good enough for flower. With 2 600watt hps in 4X4 tent without co2. Do you think I should get some bloom nutrients for better result?

I just add some nutrient ec 0.3 now

Much appreciated with your feedback
Just took some pic as you can see. Not much change today. I cut nutrient half again at ec 0.3 right now. I don't think it's ph problem. I keep my ph at 5.8-6.2
I'm using gh 3 part with Lucas formula
I'm not in cold area. Winter here I would say 7degree C lowest. my tent with 24 hrs light on. Temperature 24 degree C humidity 65%
Temperatures should be stable. I also get rid of the brown root only let white root stay.
I was fine under 400watt mh light. Really don't know what's going on here....

Thats probably your problem. Drowning. The water should always be below the net pot. Always. When theyre small you have to top feed them. Drop the level and they should come right back around.

Good stuff man theirs zero reason a lucas formula GH would cause trouble. But yeh i top feed like this until i get roots. Smallest pump ever.
@3 10.12.15.jpg

I can visually see that my plants are happier now that I left it fall below the net pot in flower. It stopped drinking like anything when it was high. We are getting FATTER by the hour! Thanks for that man. Good thread

They look fine and new roots keep growing now. I changed my nutrient cut a half again EC 0.3 ph 5.8. It take a about a week to recover.

Still have some brown root one each plant. They kind of like tie up together as pic show. I added 6 drops of bleach per gallon
Am I having root rot?

I'm confused about ppm and ec. What's the ec level for veg and flower? When I use Lucas formula at full strength, my ec it's about 0.6 0.7. Is that too low?
Thanks and happy grow
