all pics are labeled...

ok so first is a bag seed (soil#1) plant in soil about 3 weeks old in fox farm ocean forest being watered with tapwater, my tap is ph 6.7-7.0 ppm40.. the new leaves are turning a bright yellow from the inside of the leaf out... its under a 150w hps 12 inches away..

there's a second plant in soil for the same time also bag seed from unknown origin..(soil#2) he looks relatively healthy..

third is a bagseed being grown in a topfeed system ph right now is 6.6 (being adjusted down to 5.8 ) and the plant has just been flushed for 2 days, ppm is 1380, i water for 2 min. 3 times a day 20/4 light cycle, 150w hps 14 inches away, 2wk old..(Pr #1)there is also 4 tsp of h202 and 4 tsp of Epsom in 7 gallons of water.

Fourth is a White Castle femminized seed in the same top feed res. as above in its 6th week of veg.. light it 11 inches away..(Wc V#1) there is also 4 tsp of h202 and 4 tsp of Epsom in 7 gallons of water.

Fifth is a White castle Fem. seed about to start its 3rd week of flowering after being only vegged for only 3 weeks... its in a DWC system the ph is 5.9 the ppm is 1260,(Wc F#1) and there is 7tsp of 3%h202 in 10 gallons of water, also 7 tsp of Epsom salt.

Thanks for your help everybody!!!!!!

Not much of an expert but I have dealt with very similar looking leaves and drained and backed off the nutes to PPM and all adjusted just fine. Water temps? and raise the light up to 24" those are still a bit small. I keep my little 400 at the top of the ceiling of my tent until they are at SCROG level then I inch it down for a couple of days.

i think you have alot of either iron def or sulfur def,,,talking about the ones that look white...check this chart out... http://imageshack.us/f/198/nutepage.jpg/
Looks more like complete lockout or totally underfed possibly overwatered totally, hes doing a lot wrong with the soil ones but easy to correct mistakes and maybe save one or two of the plants.

Why we need more details of watering, ferts etc etc Peace

the soil plants are in Ocean Forest soil and have just been watered every 2-3 days with my tap water which is always either 6.7-7.0 depending on what temp it is, and ppm is between 35-50.... so i don't know what could have gone wrong there..
the veg res has big bloom, grow big, and kangaroots according to week four of the FF hydro feeding schedule with the Epsom salt theres 1300 ppm.. top feed watered for 2 min. 3 times a day....
the flower res has big bloom, tiger bloom and kangaroots according to week 6 of the schedule including the epsom salt tottalling 1200ppm.. in DWC with large round 4" airstone..
both res's have small amt. of 3% h202 ~1tsp/gallon

appreciate your help...

edit: i try to keep the ph around 5.8 but the past week its been in the high 6's....
the Wc V#1 the bigger plant in veg the roots are brown/burnt and the plant is stunted and new growth is small midgetlike...

Every 2-3 days sounds like could be overwatered, is the soil drying in between or the pots gettting light before being watered?

yah there drying out inbetween waterings, but i think i may have been watering with too much water? i have never grown in pots before im only "babysitting" i have only grown in the earth when i was workin soil..

but with the hydro i changed the res's.
VEG:
-ph 5.9
-ppm 532
-nutes BigBloom, Kanga Roots, Grow Big
- Tap Water instead of Disteilled to combat Cal and other Deficiencies.
- Tap water ppm is 50 so not an issue.
FLOWER:
-Ph 5.8
-ppm 863
-nutes GrowBig, TigerBloom, KangaRoots, BigBloom.(GB and TB are 2parts TB to GB for 2.3 5 4.6 ratio )
- same tap water.

Let me know if you think this will help...

Ah this would explain things then!lol! Yer it can be hard to get use to growing in pots, outside plant normally grow well with ease, having long big roots that can search out what the plant needs outdoors is so much more forgiving than growing in pots.

I couldn't school you over night and some of the potted plants look like they might be dead already but stick around as most learn a lot over time on this site. First you got to make many mistakes normally but it pays off in the end.
Peace

yah the Mother Earth is great and super forgiving, my first gro wen i was about 13 and just threw some kush bagseed plants in the woods with absolutely no research, and no regard for what time of the photo period i was planting (got lucky).. i made the trek bout once a week with tap water mixed with schultz all purpose and i put some crushed up centrium silver in there ( i have no idea why, guess i figured hey vitamins make u big and strong..lol).. but damned if those plants didnt grow up green lush and beautiful not one problem (sep pesky deer)..
Ive only had the potted plants for a few days, the person who im watching them for is very inexperienced. so anything could be wrong with them.

Im just now transitioning into hydro, so im doin this small setups to see what works best for me. hydro is so detail specific, nd for an automated system takes up alot of time... but i guess ill c if it works out for the better in the long run...

i also started germinating s'more seeds, incase i lose the WC Mother shes been stressd alot too....
i think going according to feeding schedules in the beginning is where i made my mistake, now i made my own custom formula, at half the ppm, which seems to be a better option with the FoxFarm line.

*i totally forgot about that centrium thing..lol maybe i should run a test... ill pick a good line of nutes like GH or dyna-gro and compare to schultz all purpose mixed with crushed up centrium multi vitamin do an outdoor grow in same spot.. and see what happens.....LoL too bad ill haftoo wait awhile till the next season comes..

Learn to grow in soil as well, even if its just the one plant the principles are the same as hydro or anything, once you get it right its good forever. Soil needs ferts but plant has to be quite healthy too so some are done for unfortunatly.

If you start a seedling in soil and go from there it would be easier to learn for you though, seedling soil and a small 3 inch pot with touch of perlite is a good start, let the soil have a good dry when it sprouts to promote the roots to look for water then water it after that and repot up to a slightly bigger pot when the roots develop and then after a week or two start with quater strengthnutes and away you go. Peace
