Hello everyone, I hope you and your families are all staying safe and healthy. Thanks for taking the time to read my thread. Unfortunately, I'm having some problems with my plants and I need some help identifying what the problem is. I'll try to keep it short and sweet and not ramble on.
Everything has been fine for the past ten years or so, everything has been done exactly the same with no changes. The grow is indoors, lights are apache tech at600 led, medium is fox farms ocean forest soil in 5 gallon buckets watered when plant feels light and starts to droop a little. The nutes i used in the past were fox farms big bloom organic during flower and fox farm grow big during veg. This round i have used zero nutes, this is just from ph balanced water.
I have read negative reviews about FFOF but have been using it for years not only with no problems, but growing big beautiful healthy plants. Like i said before, everything has been going fine up until the grow before this one. The buds came out frail and ugly, they didnt smell or taste good. they looked like they had been nuked with nutes so for this latest round I used zero nutes and the same thing is happening.
Basically what is happening is that the plants are growing great in veg, then when put into flower, instead of putting out buds with long white hairs that will eventually turn brown towards the end of flowering, the buds being put out are frail with no white hairs at all. the hairs come out red or brown and the buds look like someone took a lighter out and singed all the hairs on the bud. the hairs all look small and puny and shriveled up. my pictures are terrible, but i tried to show whats happening. These are 4 weeks into flowering right now and i dont think they'll make it. It's a mixture of clones and seeds over ten different strains and they're all affected.
So quick recap, nothing has changed over the past ten years. indoor grow, in soil in 5 gallon pots, normal watering schedule with ph balanced water, zero nutes used on this cycle, the problems started last cycle i thought i might be using too much nutes so i quit for this current one but the problem remains. The buds look very small and ugly, they don't smell good either. from the start of flowering , any buds put out are very small and the hairs are short shriveled and brown/red like they've been singed. in veg they look and grow great. but as soon as flowering starts the problem starts. I'm at a loss here, i haven't change anything, everything has been fine in years past, i just dont get it. to say it's stressing me out would be an understatement. and with plants everything moves so slow, so i have just sit here and wallow in my frustration, confusion and anger. if anyone has seen this happen before or knows what is happening to me, if you could let me know what my problem is i'd really appreciate it. if you need more info or better pics, let me know and i'll try to get it done.
