Plant problem

Personally. If my water sources ph is around 7ish, i wouldn't adjust it at all.

Hydro. Yes, absolutely.

Soil. No, not necessary.

The soil is alive. If its wet all the time, its the equivalent of overfeeding. Because its exactly whats happening.
Each time we water, our soil leaches nutrient salts, and organic material. This is what supplies our plants with nutrient.

Believe it or not, a wet soil is a hot soil. Continuously damp soil leads to a low ph in the rootzone, and an anaerobic environment as well.

This is why a wet, and dry cycle is so important for cannabis.

FYI and 2cents, cannabis naturally, and optimally grows in fast draining soil, with high average rainfall. Obviously varies a little from region to region. But the requirements don't change.
In other words, we want a fast draining, well aerated soil, with heavy waterings, and ample runoff.
Because our soil is well aerated and drains well, means it dries more often. Which means we water more often. Which means the soil is leached more often. Which means the plants drink more. Which means they absorb more nutrient. Which means they grow faster.
Besides the extra water, and nutrient. The roots always have more air, due to the extra aeration, and drainage.

Wet, dry, wet, dry, wet, dry, wet, dry.

This is why systems like Flood and Drain, and Drain to Waste are so popular with growing cannabis.

If it were myself. Id just be working on drying the soil out, and giving plain water. No nutrient or ph down. Not needed atm.

Peace,

Tim.
