I got a lady in 10 inch pot with sta-green soil.

lighting is 150 watt hps and 6 26 watt 2700k spectrum lights set around the outside of her..

temps have been high lately 86-91 have been the highest in the closet.

never given a flush or anything.. i noticed a problem on her upper fan leaves, not the top set but the ones under the top and then another set down... the edges are yellowing then browning and the very tip of the leaf is burnt and turning up...

I flushed her with 2 gallons of distilled water... i didn't have 3x the pot size handy so that had to do then i watered her with a 10-15-10 diluted.. also added a little superthrive for the shock of the drench. my runoff pH at the end of the drenching was i believe a 6.6

i went in there next day and the problem was progressing and it seems like very fast....

if any extra info needed, i'll provide it

Sorry, but that's a weird one. I'm not all that experienced, but I have seen thousands of "mj problem" pics over the last few months and that's a new arrangement of symptoms to me.

Your action so far (flush) certainly didn't hurt anything. If it was the right cure, be aware that sometimes the problem will continue to advance for a couple days after a flush while the plant works its problems out. Look for health in your newest growth as the sign of a solution.

Is the sta-green soil pre-fertilized? What does "diluted" mean? 1/2 strength? 1/4?

Sorry I can't be more definitively helpful... I know these kinds of problems are crazy-making...

yeah the soil was prefertilized with a lower ratio that should have washed out by now. the new growth doesn't look bad at all... it just seems like all the fan leaves are getting problems... not the new growing shoots... i would say the nute strength was between 1/2 and 1/4... i know it wasn't a large dose of nutes for sure. i'm starting to think it may be some kind of Mg def... i treated this same plant with epsom salts earlier in the grow and it solved the taco leaves and twisting... now this problem is new and weeks later

I'd hold off on fertilizing for a few waterings...those premixed soils are really hard to deal with if you're adding extra nutes. Even using ProMix soil, I start with only 1/8 or a teaspoon of nutes per gallon. Trust me, it looks like a very small amount.

To do a good 3x flush, start with Ph'd tap water for the first 2x water, then hit it with distilled for the last third.

what was the PH of your runoff water before the flush? It doesn't really look like PH to me, but who knows.

I don't think it's a deficiency though...unless it's from lockout somehow.

i think the pH before was in the same range, but could have been lower. the nutes i have is schultz brand 10-15-10 with micronutes... 7 drops per quart for indoor plants is what it said... i put about 17 drops in a gallon of distilled and the pH of that water may have been 6 ( i added a lil vinegar because the nutes raised the ph) and watered both of my plants (other one was male) i had about a third of that gallon left and i added about a quart of distilled to that to dilute it even further then i added a lil superthrive for the shock. that's as far as that... the first feeding was a day after flowering started i believe and i think i fed her once with nutes (diff stuff this was miracle grow brand) when she was vegging... so i haven't really been adding a whole lot. the 2nd feeding in flowering came with the flush

"May have been 6" as in you didn't know for sure? A little vinegar can drop your pH a long way.

Try to flush when it needs to be watered again... Don't add any nutes for a week- 2 weeks... it could be a deficiency but it looks like nute burn/ ph is too acidic... trim the yellow leaves/ brown leaves off.... sucks out the energy of the plant.... if in 1-2 weeks your plant is not green and clean haha then you can contact me on Aim which my name is in my sig...

yeah it very well could have been below six... the lowest my tester can go is 6 and that's what it read... anything lower will read 6 as well

should i trim these leaves now or after the flush? and wheni trim them do i just cut right where it meats the main stem? also... some of the lower fan leaves are looking like they are getting affected as well... should i cut all growth that looks really bad?

I would trim only a couple now... then flush next time it needs watering.. give it about 1-1.5 weeks before you start trimming yellow... I would only trim a few fan leaves though... leave some of them for more growth...

Also you don't have to trim the entire leaf.. just the yellow parts... good for undergrowth too :D just make sure you don't go all out hog wild on her...

EDIT:::::::::::: NEVER NEVER NEVER exceed 85 degrees Fahrenheit....

here are some pics i just took, it doesn't look too good for these leaves. anything i can do sooner than next watering... the soil still seems pretty damp
The two fan leaves that are really bad.. trim... almost cut all the way to the stem.. but not quite... also the ones with brown/yellow tips... trim the tips only...

CALCIUM (Ca) Lack of calcium in the soil results in the soil becoming too acid. This leads to Mg or Fe deficiency or very slow stunted growth. Treat by foliar feeding with one teaspoon of dolomatic lime per quart of water until condition improves.

Here is a good place to go for deficiencies ... http://www.greenmanspage.com/guides/tables.html

I think its just nute burn to tell you the truth.. Make sure you don't give your plants too much nutes.. or too little... it will make a huge difference .. I flush one feeding.. then give it nutes the next... while slowly adding more nute solution into my water ...

could i possibly flush again today and treat with epsom salts.. or would another flush so soon stress the plant too much?
