plant looks abnormal

Hey growers

My plant is about 4 weeks old i think, and it suffered some nute burn when it was younger. I have flushed it through 3 times since then with purified water. I use coconut husk as a soil-type medium.

Now, the plant looks nothing like the other plants in the forums. Thin droopy leaves and its just too short for its age. I dont think the problem is over watering anymore, (fixed that problem), as i only water when it feels dry under the surface. I am using 4 CFLs at 18 watt each, 3 cool white and 1 warm white. I dont have a fan on it tho, but my grow space is something of a door-less closet.

So basically im using no nutes anymore and hav flushed the soil (i mean coconut husk) but still the newer leaves' tips look discoloured:cry:

bleh i really dont know what to do, any advice? this is my only plant, and will buy some good seeds once i get the hang of growing. (still learning from mistakes). oh and the lighter is to put in perspective how small it is for 4 weeks old.

thanx in advance:peace:

well your first problem is lights. you want at least 23 watt bulbs which are 2700k which you probably want three of those and go to lowes or home depot and get a cfl bulb its 17 dollars and i think its 6500k so it covers both ends of the spectrum. those 18 watss bulbs you have are too weak. right now you need to get those bulbs two inches from your plant. it will reduce stretching. and put a fan on it. that will strengthen the stalk. and when you go to flower you will need a door on your closet cuz during the flowering process your plant has to have 12 hours complete darkness i mean no light whatsoever can get in during flowering

I think my 3 cool whites are 6500k, and yeah il be getting a fan soon (and a door lol)

still concerned about the damage to the leaves? should I be worried? will it go away?

i think if you get proper lights and get the close enough they will perk up. fan is just as important as the lights. im assuming thats your only plant and if you get the bulbs i recomended you will have a beautiful plant. you want 6500k for veggie and 2700k for flower. most people mix the two kinds and grow from start to finish. ill tell ya what you go get those lights today and by the end of the week your plant will look 200 % better. theres a guide out there its called a grow bible. its online find that and go buy it. most people want at least 6000 to 10000 lumens per sq. ft but you have one plant you get those 5 bulbs on it the four pack of 23 watt bulbs and the big 17 dollar cfl you will have a monster beautiful plant.

Stop watering them and let them dry out.

Then transplant them into new soil with plenty of light :)

Transplant to a bigger pot, the one you are using looks like it has roots exposed at the top... roots should never be exposed :leaf:

yeah i agree. most people will plant in 5 gal buckets from start to finish so theres no transplanting needed. they will just add drill holes at the bottom

Probably a good idea :)

In all honesty, my very best advice would be to transplant it into the biggest container available and then be Consistant!

I think a lot of new growers make mistakes by always fucking with their plants. Like constantly adjusting the Ph, over/ under watering, over nuting, etc.

Get on a consistant feeding, water, and light cycle and let them do their thing :)

I like to go from a solo cup, to a gallon-3 gallon pot, than finally to a 5 gallon pot and drill holes in the bottom for drainage ( 4 holes ). It helps the root system form, goodluck bro and definitely trnasplant that thing as soon as possible! :leaf:
