Do plants grow quicker with light on or of?

You cannot grow a plant with the light off bro...no photosynthesis=no growth.

But, plants need a lil dark time to grow roots

I know you can't grow with lights of ..it's cuz when lights go of in my grow room I don't check it till the next day rite when lights turn on. And it looks like it grew a lot.
