This feminised lady is almost 2 weeks old. I thought she should be a little bigger by now.
She's in organic soil, with perlite. I have 3 CFL's.

The soil seems kind of hard tho. I bought it at Home Depot. 100% Organic.

No nutes yet.

Any comments? Does she look small for 2 weeks?

A friend of mine bought a HydroBubble system from Stealth Hydro. Can I switch her from soil to hydro, too much of a shock?

1 CFL is from Stealth Hydro - 65k. Lumens is 4,200. The other 2 CFL's are just 75watts bought from Walmart. I figured it was enough for 1 plant?

Yep, I germinated them. Once I saw the root coming out of the seed, I just put in soil about 1 inch deep. The soil seems kind of hard, maybe that it?

the soil looks like its playground bark with very little perlite, plants that struggle past bark have trouble growing,,,get some potting soil and mix in about 30% perlight, organic what exactly does that mean get a loser soil with less bark
I'm a beginner and need a simple and easy soilless mix

From your local Hydro store get some Promix, vermiculite and Perlite.
Mix in the portions of 50% promix, 35% perlite and 15% vermiculite. This mix is nice and loose and will promote great and fast root growth. All though it doesn't retain water that well it is good for beginners because it will help safeguard against over watering. Plus if a beginner runs into problems with PH or over fertilization the properties of this soil make it quick and easy to remedy.

Soil with high bark content
This can cause a “bonsai” effect. The roots will not be able to grow through the bark, preferring to grow around the chunks of bark. This slows down root growth and most obviously plant growth. Ive encounter this recently; once transplanted into proper soil, they have shown remarkable recovery.

[Editor's note: bark is quite acidic, may may afect soil water pH]
good luck ...rob

Ok, I'll try switching soils. I looked at the bag of soil I bought from Walmart is says:"Earth's Finest 100% Potting Soil"
You are right, there does seem to be a lot of bark in it. Where is live, I don't have many resources for soil except Walmart and Home depot. thanks.
