Plant getting too tall

I found a seed in some medical cannabis. Hadn't seen a seed in 10 years so I was surprised to find one in this high quality medical bud. I hastily threw it in a pot of half miracle grow soil and half beautiful compost. The sucker has grown. Are the close up pics early buds? Is it too late to top?20200907_115532.jpgju
