Planning second grow, what nutes would be an upgrade from Fox Farm Liquid Nut Trio?

You didn't grow any bud with Miracle Grow. That stuff will kill your plants. And even if you did get some bud it would taste like chemicals. Plants would probably even glow. If you don't spend the money for the most expensive nutrients you're not getting the most out of your plants. You can't just give them what they need. You have to give them what costs the most money or else you won't have a good grow. :bigjoint:

Jacks 3-2-1 works great. I'm basically using the same thing except VitaGrow. I've looked at the labeling and they have the same basic stuff in similar ratios. VitaGrow just has a third part of MKP / monopotassium phosphate to add during flower. One part of VitGrow is just calcium nitrate just like Jacks and the micronutrient blend is close to the Jacks 5-12-26. It's 3-10-20. I probably don't even need to use the MKP.

I have grown guerilla many years before moving indoors. I’ve produced more bud with cheap Miracle Gro turquoise crystals than anything else. It’s a complete plant food. I’ve also got friends who can pick up a shit guitar and make it sing. It’s the singer and not the song.

Edit add: here there are many growers with thousands of square feet in veg or flower who swear by Jacks 3-2-1. From start to finish. Veg+Bloom is universally panned here so I’d skip that one. A few use Megacrop.
Thanks hot rod. :blsmoke:

If stuck with Miracle Gro you simply feed flowering plant food during flower. Anything that makes dahlias bloom works just fine. MG turquoise simply has a bit too much N. Too many don’t remember 40 years ago and what was available.

Sorry. I’ve been called out on this a hundred times by people. Honestly I was surprised at YOU saying that. My apologies.

I bet you've been called out by those that don't know as much as they think they do. So many people that have never grown anything but cannabis seem to think it requires special potions an magic to make it grow. It doesn't and Yes you can grow weed just fine with Miracle grow. I've used it in the past for years both in the garden and yes for cannabis, houseplants as well. Now I just use bulk chemical salts. Basically the same stuff in most nutrients/fertilizers just much cheaper. Even cheaper than Miracle Grow. Plus I use the same thing in the garden and on the houseplants so I use it for everything and everything grows good. The cannabis specific nutrient industry tops the list of overpriced products targeting pot growers through mass marketing, youtube infomercials, arrangements with hydro shops, etc... Purposely leaving things out so they can sell you another bottle of watered down chemical salts. Some of the worst grows I see on this and other sites are from people using a dozen bottles of expensive nutes. Grows with crispy leaves that look like crap and all the while people saying "Nice looking plants" when the plants look like shit. It's the way it is these days. And don't get me started on the people that think the leaves should be yellow three weeks from harvest.

Anyway, I've been called out before by people that don't have a clue so I know what it's like. No worries. I'd still smoke a joint with you. :blsmoke:

Years ago it was Miracle Gro and you bought it everywhere. There were very few people to ask. Not if you wanted to stay out of jail. I have been as excited about the products as I have any strains over the years. Lights especially.

But nothing was so powerful to me as the first time I walked into the Medicine Man in Cortez CO and bought some incredible cannabis legally. Walking out the door with a sack of pot and not having to hide it. After decades of hiding everything walking out with a bag of cannabis in the daytime.

Yeah things sure have changed. Dispensaries are like fast food restaurants around here. They're everywhere.

When my daughter was going to school in Beaverton I went to visit. We drove to Vancouver and went to Main Street. I bought a 1/4 of Blackberry Kush for $36. It lasted me the whole drive back up. To Alaska with $20 grams that sucks.

Hey Guys well I started my oficial second grow. I’m at week 4. I’m using what’s left of fox farm nutes, pretty much everything from last gro. I will need to decide if to stay or upgrade, I have alternated water/feed(feed 3x) in a week. (First grow I feed x2 week in veg stage.
Apart from adding another feed day, or two additional light feeds, what else can I do?
I did get my plants a bit to close to light i@ week 2 , you can see if you look close, but all is well. Compared my notes from first grow, at week 4 it is just about same, of courses I’m sure it’s to son to tell difference since I only just feed week ago.

Any advice will help. Thank you!
