Any opinions or advice on this? I want to try using just pure coco and feeding it liquid compost or maxsea 16-16-16. Any ideas, thoughts or comments? ALso if you have done coco outdoor i would love to here how it went.

I dug out my holes and used some coco in my fill outdoor.... of course I had many other things in it, but coco was a big contribution. I tend to be a mix it all together kind of gardner so I think it is a great idea. I've used different percentages of coco and straight coco. I love it. I have one plant I'm flowering outdoor now with light restriction and it is 100 per coco. I love the way it responds to nutes. I also feed it my bio teas and it seams to love that as well. I have NO idea if it is the right thing to do. (LOL) but the coco does seam to be the true deal. I love mixing good quality soil with coco and perlite.

I would love to hear from anyone on this subject that has MORE of a clue than I. I'm a novice. But I like the idea. I have no idea on your nute idea. Sounds like a sound idea IMO.

I would say do it! Try to get them out asap and get teens if possible. The outdoor season has already started. The nutes are too high for growth cycle though. I recommend superthrive all the way through. A 5 gallon bucket and coco with 1/4 perlite would rock!

Legit. I have been rockin superthrive and this 16-16-16 actually works really well. I have tried high nitros and they don't do it as big because in nature the earth isn't a super nitro it tries to stay balanced

They will definately be at least 4 ft tall for sure. You figure they will double in height by the end of flowering. So if they are 2 ft by flowering time they will most likely hit 4ft.

Soil, perlite, coco coir would be a great outdoor medium imhumbleo

you can make an AMAZING outdoor grow if you do it right. but DONT use 100% coco peat. use amended coco peat in large containers (10+ Gallon) and you could grow some MAJOW plants. i've seen what MaxSea can do and there not messing around..........

Mixed with sand, compost and fertilizer to make good quality potting soil. Coco peat generally has an acidity in the range of pH - 5.5 to 6.5. It is a little on the acidic side for some plants, but many popular plants can tolerate this pH range.
amend it with High quality potting soil (such as happy frog) and Perlite, you will see much better results than just pure coco peat.

I love coco, but I like to mix soil in with it in almost every case. My new favorite medium is roots organics: green lite. This is the urban mix. This stuff is amazing, but spendy. I could not afford to use for outdoor. I used it as a top dress.

get it going son!
