im gonna grow 5 plants 3 white widow fem 2 northern lights

water every 5-6 days

For germ im gonna use 300-400 watt cfl
For veg and flower i will be using about 600 hps

fox farm fertilizer


making soil out of some organic brand with nitrogen, pertile ,sand



sound good riu?
possibly red cfls as well for flower.. for the germ cups ill be using yellow cups

5 plants under that light to flower is not going to do it. Promise. You don't say how large your growing area is. The NL stay on the small-to-medium side. But I have grown WW and still have one mother WW and they take up the room. Don't add any nitrogen to the soil however you planned to do it. You say FF so go with FF fertilizers applied with water. Nitrogen overdose is too easy. Under-fertilization and under-watering do not tend to be habits of newer growers, much to the detriment of the plants. Remember that somehow they struggled to survive waiting for man to discover them. KISS!

And consider switching out any HPS for MH the last 2 weeks of flowering before harvest. UVB increases THC production but only in the last 2 weeks. If in a hood-type reflector that glass that is in it is designed to block UV (causes little things like cancer so beware and limit time exposure) so to benefit the use the glass must be removed. Adios to any air-cooling but . . . ..

I run a single 100 watt HPS to flower but I also find myself placing unused fluorescent vertically near the girls to enhance any really large side buds. Pays off too. Get a lot of little nugs that aren't popcorn doing that. No red CFL needed in flower with the HPS. If you haven't gotten a light yet consider a switchable ballast that can run HPS and MH. There is a difference. Electromagnetic ballasts are cheaper to buy, heavy as hell and run hot. I have zero experience with digitals. I'm old and have my old stuff.
