planning new grow room

i am hoping to have 2 mother plants and space for cloning in my veg room what size should i make my grow box and which lights should i get?

Also for my flower room i am wondering the max amount of clones i will have to accomodate at one time? how much space will be needed for this? and which lights would be best?

I am planning to make my own grow boxes and have limited space in the room as it is L shape with a large window. I am guessing that one mother plant would prob be best but would like two strains.

Any help on hydro or soil would help but i am currently running a small (first) grow cabinet in soil which would be my first choice but i havent really heard the argument for and against yet.

If all goes well i could make this into a grow journal so any experienced growers out there i am a newbie in desperate need of a lot of advice!!
