My roll of mylar came in, yay! I can line my inserts for my cabinet finally. All I need now are my seeds and fans, but just the seeds would be sufficient so I can begin germinating.

The camera isn't staying, it's just in there for the hell of it right now. And why Should I take it off the bottom?

Leaves will most definitely turn over the other way to get at the light. It's their nature.

Will they? Probably not.

The light from those CFL's will be a lot more intense than the light reflecting off the floor (granted you keep them close to the tops of the plants, within 1-2 inches), though the tops of the leaves are what collect the light I believe, so a reflective floor doesn't have too much benefit IMO.

But I might be totally wrong. Good luck. :hump:

Not saying that you're wrong, but I have seen many threads with cabs that have reflective floors/and or reflectors placed on top of the soil. I believe it's just to help maximum light reach the lower levels of the plant, not to help reach the underside of the leaves. I could also be wrong though. Thanks for the support.

All input still welcome!

Hey guys, so my seeds germinated fine. I'm pretty excited and about to transplant to soil now.

Let the fun begin! Also, should I water the newly germinated and transplanted seeds?

Lol, yeah I poked holes in them. Also, my fans came in today so I redid my exhaust. I only have one hooked up right now since I only have sets of lights on.

Should I do 24/0 until they break the surface or start out right off the bat with 18/6?

Do 24/0 for the first whole month.... this will help them veg faster and grow faster...when you are nearing the flowering stage then cut back from 24/0 to 18/6 to 12/12

yeah i would do 24/0 till they all sprout but 18/6 for vegg, but thats just my opinion. what have you done for fans?

I have two 120mm 135cfm pc fans instead of my original 80mm horrible ones that were letting it get way to hot. I only have one in right now and I'm staying at 80 degrees with one set of lights on. So I'm pretty sure with two sets on it should be no problem up once I hook the second fan as well. You can check back in my thread to see how my cabinet is set up.

We have growth! I don't have a good camera so I won't take a picture yet since it's barely out of the soil, but hurray!!
