Planned (2) 2x4 perpetual

This will be my first indoor run, I wanted things to be fairly efficient so that my bills for both tents were under $200 monthly. (That to me included electricity/water/nutes/bulbs/genetics/filters) so while my startup cost might be a bit higher than it needs to be, it should last me; and cost me less total in the second year of operating than other methods.

- Week 9 | 10/14 light schedule (water only) (62 watts uv-b added @ 45 min – 1 hour 15 mins twice a day)

This is a summary and very rough estimate of what I have planned in a few months, any ideas, comments, or recommendations are welcome. This will be a somewhat experimental run that I'm hoping will be more fun than headache!

Heaters / dehumidifier / a.c. / humidifier are going to be in the lung room as they are needed. Environmental monitors and ph/ec meters will be here. All areas of the lung room will be insulated with r-9 values.

Seeds I will be popping are a toss between two Spartan Family Genetics lines;

Spartan Kush (leaning more towards this) or Spartan's BTY.

The leds I plan to grab - https://www.pacificlightconcepts.com/product/photo-boost-strip-light-engine/

(240w Veg light might end up being a 4x qb120 4000k, I'm a bit of a toss up on this one honestly.)

Hoping to pull 340 grams every 12 weeks once everything is dialed in and I've settled into the indoor life.

For some reason I dint get an alert when you tagged me.

Sounds like a grand plan man.
All I can say is the plan sounds good but you will have to just roll with it and see how it pans out.
For consistency in time and growth it would be a good idea to eventually go with clones from your females.

3x3 inch squares IMO work better than 4x4 inch, I used to do 2.5inch but that was a bit risky with too dense a canopy.

Will enjoy following this and it will be cool to see some PLC stuff on here too as we don't see much these days.
I think your yield is well within reason. :bigjoint:

Good luck man!

You're going to need a much bigger flower tent. (I stopped reading there)

With 8 weeks veg you're going to have huge girls.

I just had 4 plants in a 4x8 tent and they were severely over crowded and because of that I'm in the midst of switching to a perpetual grow, just got my veg tent set up and expect the light tomorrow.
So 2 in the veg tent and 2 in the flower and I expect two plant to comfortably fill the 4x8 tent.

Good luck and have fun

I lost all my mom in the hurricane and I'll be looking for one or two in my first couple of runs. After I do I'll likely go to sog style cycles.

But I'm going to be cutting the number of plants that are going into flower down to 3. First half of veg is sexing and just getting a base scrog going. After that it's just working the scrog til full then flipping to flower. If it doesn't take 8 weeks total to fill the screen great, I love time savers. But I wanted to be safe with timing even if I'm leaf stripping to slow veg.

And the strips sold out, probably going to wait on more to be released. But looking at my options. Just wanted to throw out an update

Just a question really.. Does the slow light hour reduction in your flower cycle actually make a difference ? I understand that this probably will assimilate the natural light cycle. But how much of an impact ? Just wondering if I should also implement this into my system.

It more was about slowing veg down a bit and saving some watts. It also was just a way to try to not hormonally stress the plants as heavily since I was going to do an early flip. No real scientific need too.

This is likely not the way I'm heading now as I'm looking into building out a room and reinvested some funds in another direction for now.
