hi this may be a dumb question but i feel like asking anyway so that's a thing

can you just use a PK booster then entire time in flower with out a bloom base nutrient ?? if no why not.

second question would be are PK boosters even worth it

PK boosters still aren't necessarily proven to even be all that effective. There are secondary nutrients besides NPK as well as minerals in your base nutes that might be in smaller quantities, but still play an important role. You probably can just run a PK booster but you would most likely run into a lot of deficiencies. Your better off just running your base nutes, maybe in higher concentrations at different times. A lot of newer nutrient lines are suggesting this now.

No. Lots of things are required other than potassium and phosphorous. Plus you don't want to use a PK booster except for like weeks 3 and 4 of 12/12 or your quality will suffer drastically from too much P.

Renfro, I have used many many bloom boosters... I have also not used them. I seen absolutely no difference in quality, if anything, it was not noticeable. However, I agree with you. But what I do is use it more "full strength" thru weeks 3-4, then just give like quarter strength up to week 6 or 7 on a longer flowering strain. What I have noticed back in the day is using it all the way thru flower in heavy dosages will make your buds look fluffy and hairy. Makes a huge difference in appearance for sure.

I think (personal opinion) that finding just the right dosage, -light but not too light to not make a difference,- makes the best difference and balances it all out.

Just curious, what is the best bloom booster you have used? That has/had the most noticable effects? What do you currently use??

I've found it's actually detrimental to plants health......but it could be my style of growing. If you want a boost, just increase your bloom 20% or so, but remember- more is not necessarily better.

Exactly, it all comes down to different strokes for different folks... I personally have much better results using a bloom booster than not in yield and quality. But some other swear by running veg nutes all throughout flower. I have tried it, did not like the results...

Big Bud for the win!
What I am currently using and excellent so far... Been using big bud the last few grows but have had just as good results with countless others.

First time using bud blood this run and it drastically reduced stretch and kicked in flower set a week earlier just like advertised for me. It really did work.

pk plants need in general don't go overboard and the best booster I would say is im on board with the sulfur does really pull out the smell of the bud

I haven't tried the Bud Blood but have others like the OverDrive, fail. Got a free 500ml bottle of Bud Factor X to try and not worth paying for IMO.

A week before I want to flip to flower I feed them a good dose of base nutes in a 1:1:1 ratio and add a half dose of Big Bud to 'Prime the pump' and after doing a few side-by-side comparisons saw faster bud set, lots more flower sites and way bigger buds 3 weeks later. At least twice the size of ones I waited until the end of week 2 from the flip.

I just have the base 3-part, Rhino Skin and BB. Any old CalMag will do and of course some Epsom salts here and there but more the last few weeks. That extra sulfur helps with resin production and that's about all you get in OverDrive. I grind up some supplements and give them extra zinc, iron, B-1, selenium and some citric and ascorbic acids.
