Pistols turning orange too soon?

The pistols on my dosidos are already browning in end of week 4 flower, not just the odd one maturing and browning the whole nug covered to the point it almost looks ready but I am still 4-5 weeks off. I’m pretty certain that there is no hermi in the tent with them so 99% sure that they haven’t pollinated. The other strain in the tent is gsc x gelato and they are still hairy white for the most part. I’m worried they are finishing early and I’m gonna have a shit harvest

this year i had this happen too me on a outdoor plant in my opinion as long as there's still white hairs aka pistols on the nugs your fine if everything turns brown like 100% of the pistols on a nug turn brown than i would be worried.

The rest of the bugs on this plants still have white hairs and are plentiful but there is one specific head in the first photo and I would say that it is 99% orange hairs, what can cause this do you know

honestly i have no idea what causes this it happened too me last outdoor grow :( when i had a nug that all hairs 100% turned brown on me early during flower is because the nug died due to bud rot and i didnt know. im not saying thats what happened too yours. your nug with 99% orange hairs is probably still alive and doing fine but im just saying the only time 100% of hairs turned orange on me early in flower was when the bud died. :(

I’d say you’ve got some herm in there possibly. Take each plant out and have a look for some sacks down low.

They are under a trellis so cannot remove them, I’m fairly certain I don’t have a hermi in there but will check again. Dam hope I haven’t fucked this crop lol
 
Pistil color is not an indicator for finishing. You may find that the plant produces new buds with white pistils. The only way to know if you're ready to harvest is to examine the trichomes on the buds. Read up on trichomes and assessing the maturity level based on that and you will be put at ease with your concerns.

I know this already is just worried about the pistols turning brown immaturely, this is not a al I ready to harvest post lol it is a help me iv never had hairs turn this brown so early before lol

I wouldn't stress too much. The pistils can also turn brown early from overfertilizing.

Or could be getting pollinated by a stray nanner or sack like Henry said but a few seeds won't hurt. Overall they look pretty good.

It won't be a full blown obvious herm plant. It will be a couple small sacks burried deep in the shade on the lowers. It looks like you have some pollen flying in there.

When pollen hits a flower you can tell it took by the pistils turning orange, then brown and receding. At week 4 having almost all orange hairs is generally a sign of a rogue male flower having opened.

I respectfully disagree, I use pistils the lead indicator of the three main indicators of my plants maturity. The other two being water uptake and trichomes (sometimes bud swell if I know the plant well)

The jewlers loop doesn't even come out until the initial batch of pistils has turned almost entirely orange.

Hmmm okay I did have a good look around and didn’t notice any pollen sacks anywhere just swollen lady bits with white hairs lol will have another look I guess. Does this mean I’m gonna have seeds all through the flower lol

Right - you're not whacking a plant down based solely on pistil color - the pistil color is your barometer for when you begin to pull the loupe out.

It depends on how much pollen flew. Most likely you will find a few seeds is all.

Also I was thinking about it and there is another reason the pistils could all turn early and that would be a foliar spray.

I wouldn't worry too much just keep an eye out.
