Do you wait until all Pistles have turned orange?

Yes, brown and shriveled back to the calyx. At least 90%-95% shriveled.

both. my royal dwarf was 99 days from sprout to when i chopped.

I'm at day 67 and have a bunch of amber trichomes already. But mostly white Pistles. I'm ready to start a new one.

A picture might be helpful, you say you have amber trichs and lots of white pistols, those two things don’t jive. Could it be foxtailing? Are the amber trichs on the sugar leaves or the calyxes?

I just read some post's on here that said the leaves will amber first. That's what I'm seeing on mine.

Exactly! Hang in there, the last few weeks are the hardest, but the superior product you get by waiting is worth it.

If you give it proper food leafs will never change color.
Second if you have bad light too close pistils will brown from it.allsoo you will get new fresh pistils.
You should wait until the buds are soo big your pistils are almost hidden inside them
Then you can check with a microscope for milky trichomes.

I did snip off the lowest bud. It was 90% orange Pistles while the upper buds are around 50% orange Pistles. I have the test bud drying.

Well maybe less orange Pistles on the upper buds.
The lower buds have more orange Pistles.

That has a long time left. How's your light cycle? It almost looks like it had revegged at one point.

Your plants look nice, but they have at least a month until they'll be optimal.
There's a lot of bulking up that's yet to occur.

I may look at things a little differently, but I'd consider it a good thing that your plants need another month to mature.
It's a month to "grow some buds".
Currently, the leaf-to-bud ratio is not ideal, that should change dramatically in a month or so.

Oh yeah, several weeks to go. I see many more white pistils than shriveled red/orange pistils. The buds haven't even started to swell.
