Pink Himalayan salt

Not sure if it's a bit late for this year, but it's apparently unforgettable. Definitely on my 'to do and see' list for when I visit Alaska. Someday.
I'm not connected to the main land of Alaska
But I've seen photos of it (obviously lol)

The islands are a must see on the same list. I'm envious of your locale...but only during the four months of summer, lol
The winter is not bad here my husband would tell me he's cold and it would be -6 and I would be In Canada at -45

I'll take -6 happily
It is very very beautiful here my husband got us a good house 2 bedrooms (renting) but I have a huge ass window that overlooks the ocean right in my living room / dining room area

It gets colder than that here. Do you do any fishing? I'd have a line out there every chance I got, I love fresh seafood.

No i practice a vegan diet and lifestyle
it is a lil out of place up there for a vegan, no?
I mean i'm a tree-hugger that hates to even kill mice, only HAVE to because the Fat bastards are too big for the non-lethal ones, not to mention the reason mice are so good at mazes is because they remember where the hell food is....

how is that offensive? you asked a question LOL

i used to fish heavily with my dad it was the one thing me and him bonded over, i still have all my gear too
wow, me too, my dad is a HUGE fisherman and hunter... but I can hardly even fish... I used to have a cichlid tank, and those things are smart.... hell my Oscar could recognize me through the glass and would literally wag his tale when he was hungry.
how could I YANK up a poor bastard fish via a friggin hook through his mouth?
Oh and to those that say fish mouths aren't sensitive... that'sfactually incorrect.

Their nervous system isn't the same at all, but hooking through the face with a chunk of steel and dragging them out of the water definitely stresses them out, I just don't care. I'm strictly a harass and release fisher, I don't like eating most freshwater fish.

Back to salt, though; Malden salt is the best finishing salt out there. lol @ this thread hijack.

I understand where you're coming from there man. I've always hated the taste of fish and sea food but I used to love fishing when I was younger for some reason. Now I feel badly for the fish. As I got older (not way older, I'm still in my 20's lol), something clicked in my brain and I'm thinking to myself -- why am I doing this again? I don't even like fish!! Haha

The fam and I still go chill and hang out by the water though, just no fishing polls now.

hah yea, this thread is waaaaay of subject....
Nervous system of fish?!
My apologies to the OP...
Oh, and if the OP is still there, for micronutrients a cheap and easier route could be kelp meal, but it's not quite the same as rock dusts..
Poor guy..

no I meant more so directed to the lifestyle up there... hunting... fishing... logging....
All those make my feelings hurty...
Oh, and i'm a baker too, you can sub veggie shortening for most baking (not the most healthy though) or my fav is coconut oil, but it won't bake the same as butter.
Margarine you could use too... problem with fats is that in order for it to resemble the animal products (butter, lard, etc) they have to make it hydrogenated... which i'm sure being a smart vegan girl you know that those are death fro you...
BUT... I make a daaaaamn tasty dark chocolate, coconut, almond cookie.... with dark brown sugar, molasses, whole wheat flour (makes a nice chewy moist cookie)
top it off with ghiradellie 60% cacao dark chocolate....
and sub coconut oil for butter (careful though it bakes FLAT, which is why I like a bit more baking soda and whole wheat flour)
