Pineapple Express odor?

loquacious

Hello people, I am currently growing G13 labs Pineapple Express and it has an incredibly strong cheese odor. Like a cross between a really strong Parmesan and a very sharp cheddar. Has anyone else who have grown this strain had this pheno?

What's up?! I've got a Pineapple Express seed I have been sitting on..now you got me curious..I'm not a big cheese fan..grew big Buddha Chiesel a few years back..too funky for me..interesting pheno

I've grown g13 PE twice so far never had the cheese smell. Always a sweet citrus odor. I loved it both times. Great smoke put me to sleep every time I smoked it. Has a really good yield also.

during flower to me my PE smelled like tropical skittles. after the dry it was very sweet/fruity
nutrients have a big effect on the smell/flavor of your bud.

used earth juice.

I've had a fruity and a Skunky pheno. The fruity one smells like a bag a skittles in bloom and is def a keeper

Just Harvested mine and was wondering the same thing. Almost exact flavor and smell of the Dinafem Cheese I had about 6 Months ago.

sleep !?! humm i thought it was on the lighter side personally and even let it go almost 9 weeks. but the rest i agree with.

Sweet Citrus in late flower, almost a mildew or musk in early flower.
good yield
great structure
weak stems (will not hold up the buds) (tits for scrog tho and has high bud %)
breeder claims 8 weeks - everyone i have talked with agrees it needs 9.

I have one 15 days into 12/12 after 5 weeks of veg. Grown organic. Maybe it's not old enough but it just smells hashy and not terribly strong yet.03-02 002.jpg03-02 001.jpg

G13 keep the genetics secret for PE don't they. Surely must have skunk number 1 in it though somewhere - which is where the cheese strain comes from.

I've had a random cheesy pheno from a strain with skunk 1 hidden deep in its genetics, rare pheno too from what I can gather. Kolossus from Sannies seeds was the strain. I've grown a total of 15 of them now, and the cheesy pheno has only appeared once. The others are so different (citrus/haze) that it really stood out. Others who had a chance to check it out all asked if it was cheese. I've got another little one vegging now in the hope she will be the cheese pheno, we shall see.
