Pinching small buds early ?

So I'm all out of medicine and can't find any in town. Can you pinch buds off a flowering plant to float yourself until something comes around? Well, I'm sure you can, but what would be the correct way of going about it?

Pinch off a whole bud at the base of the stem? Use sccissors and cut a section of off a mini-cola? The females are indicas 38 days into flower and some have 10% red hairs. They probably have 2+ weeks to go though.

Also, I have a vaporizer, so I was planning on using it. Will this work good right off the plant, or would ghetto drying in a microwave then bong bowling it be better?

Yeah you can get blazed of weed around that age, I've pinched before 5 weeks in and it was great, you do have to ghetto dry the buds though. I always put it next to a bright light bulb (usually 100+ watts) takes 30-45 minutes depending on the bulb, i'm sure theres other ways but I go with what works and when I say by a light bulb its like an inch maybe 2 away. It is kind of a waste in some ways but if you need your meds you need your meds, ya know what i'm sayin?

Get a nug that has some good crystal on it, go for a smaller bud, I usually take a razor blade and cut it in half or in a few pieces to help it dry quicker.

Pick a bud here, pick a bud there, next thing you know your moving leaves around and squinting your eyes to make your plant look bigger like how it once was :-P

if i were you i would only take the smallest buds off the bottom of the plant that wont get very large, unless they get enough light down at the bottom in youre setup, that way you minimize the loss at harvest time. i found if you prop the oven door open part way, about 5-6" and lay tin foil with plenty of small holes in it across the gap and tape it up to hold it if needed and turn the oven on very low no more than 250 degrees i'd say and keep rotating it every few minutes you can dry it out quite well and very quickly. you can also line the gaps along the sides of the oven door with the foil to channel more heat up to the buds.

I just pulled my blue cheese down at 49 days flowering for the same reason. sucks, but you do what you have to sometimes. I started picking a few nugs a day at about 30 days, and as Jsmoke mentioned, I tried to start from the bottom and work up so I could make the most out of it. At this point tho, it makes more sense to harvest and get the next round started cuz if i keep picking it every day for the next 2 weeks, I won't have but a quarter to pick.

Sorry for getting sidetracked, I wanted to say, food dehydrator on the lowest setting or the top of an LCD tv work great for quick drying in a pinch.

UPDATE: Yeah, I totally understand it is best to wait. I'd rather pay retail until things are ready, but sometimes the people I know are dry for a day or two as well... and insomnia is a bitch.

I cut off tiny buds under the canopy that would not have likely bulked up. I tried the dehydrator, heater, vaporizer, and the steam microwave method.. Vaporizing is hands down the best way. Steam Microwave was second best, but it still tasted like crap. With the vaproizer it actually tastes fine for the most part. You have to crank the heat, and it takes longer than usual, but it gets you there. The first few draws are humid and green tasting, but it starts hitting normally after a minute or two

Now I don't advocate pinching buds every day to feed your head if you have a small grow, but I see no problem with early sampling on the rare occasional dry spell.

i had the same question a few days ago pinch one from the bottom and burn down :bigjoint: i go from a bright light to a candle warmer back in forth about 10 mins on each one make sure you put foil over the candle warmer if you have one They work nice
