as previously stated, vent into another room, i.e the bathroom through a filter... free heating and no worrys of flir.

why did the chicken cross the road......................
To see if he would be caught by FLIR!

I vent my 400w into the attic. I live 2 blocks from the pig pen where they fly the fooking chopper...it is over my head all damn day and night and I absolutely hate it! It is like a war zone.

Although my roof is conspicuously void of frost on cold mornings...I have done this for over a year.

Again...unless you are running a huge op, or they are already suspicious of you, flir is not going to notice you unless you vent outside, do not make it look like a dryer (8" vent 6' up the wall) and do not deal with odor.

Smell and loose lips are your real fears.

If you flower and exhaust heat during daylight and use flouros and cross ventilation for veg you won't be detectable to FLIR .

Thanks guys, I am currently venting to the inside, my thinking was that if the closet is turned 90 degrees for convenience it would then face an exterior wall thus making no 2 scans of this property the same hence arousing suspicion, I can be scanned with no prior preliminary or investigatory evidence..

I only have a single area veg/flower op.

Odor is a REAL problem for me as I am forced to leave the closet wide open, I have a carbon filter but cannot use it as my exhausted air is not confined to a duct lol.

Thankyou for the comments :0P

Unless your closet is VERY close to the external wall, the amount of radiated indirect light will produce nominal heat increases.

Run the filter anyhow, the carbon will still do some work.

My vent to the attic creates air flow down through the walls and out under the crawl space of the house. This makes it smell noticeably outside. I put 2-4 twist-up air fresheners under house and have a Lysol Nutra-air timed air freshener near front door that goes off once every 40 minutes or so...with this there is ZERO detectable smell outside or at my door.

Sounds like a cool setup, how can the c/f neutralise odor if the exhaust air is not force fed to it?
