Piecing my "Grow Cave" together, let me know what ya think!

What up RIU? It's been a while since I've been on the site, and awhile since I've been growing. I've been out of the game for a little bit but I'm back! Well kinda lol. Due to lack of funds right now I'm piecing my grow room together right now. But the cool thing is that I have a bedroom in my new house(a rental, but hope to buy in a couple years) I call the "grow cave. It's not the biggest "grow cave" (10'x9', with about 9' of ceiling space) but it's big enough to hold my Gorilla grow tent(5'x5'x7') and the original wood cabinet(3'x2'x5') that a good friend and I built a couple years ago. I have about 6 grows in the cabinet using a 270W Enhanced Spectrum Supernova LED, with great results! And yes I have documented grows here on RIU! But of course I'm not satisfied with just great results, I want Excellent results. Which is why I now have the Gorilla Grow Tent! I will now use my cabinet and the LED light for Veg, and the Gorilla tent will be for flowering. I'm still trying to decide on a 1000W or 600W for this tent. Anyone wanna throw in their 2¢ be my guest! I am leaning towards a Quantum 1000W Dimmable Electronic Ballast for$158.90 from a site I found here on RIU called PlantLightingHydroponics.com. As for the reflector I am looking to get, it's the Sunlight Magnum XXXL 6in Air Cooled Reflector for $154.90 also from the same website. I'm also looking at this reflector, Sunlight Magnum XXXL 8in Air Cooled Reflector for
$159.90. Which would you choose for this grow setup? I'm also trying to decide on a 6" or an 8" inline fan. What your opinion on that? Like I said before all my grows have been LED, so I haven't had any issues with heat at all so that's why I ask. This will be my first go with HPS! The fan and carbon filter I'm looking at are also from the same website. Phresh® Filter 6in x 16in Virgin Carbon $99.90 and Hurricane™ 6 inch Inline Fan 435 CFM
$69.99. I'm also looking to buy another atmospheric controller. I have a Green Air Products GAP (CT-DH-3P) SYNCHRONIZED COOLING atmospheric controller that I will move from the cabinet to the tent, since I already have a 20lb co2 tank with co2 monitor and regulator. I'm looking at a CAP AIR-2 Independent temperature and humidity control $104.90 to put into the veg cabinet. As for the equipment I need I think that's it. Lol it's all gonna run me about $650 from PlantLightingHydroponics.com. I've been researching and well I really like the prices on their site. If anyone can tell me a cheaper website to get these products, I'm all ears! Like I said funds are tight but hopefully I'll be up and running soon. Anyone wanna buy a ps3 lol? Steal all the info you need bro! Hopefully I'll get some feedback on the light and the other equipment I'm planning on buying! I was also looking at a galaxy ballast like this Galaxy 400-600-1000 Select-A-Watt Dimmable Ballast For $200.00. Anyone using either one of these ballasts?

Thanks for the link. Ill stay tuned to it and see what you get going. Wish I could help ya out with some LED info, but it's been a couple years since I've researched LED lights. I will tell you that I bought my LED light from HID HUT about 2-3 years ago and it's still going strong! I'm totally happy with it, but I'm gonna use HPS in my tent and use the LED for veg. I can't wait to get up and going! Good luck in your LED search, I'm sure you'll find a quality light! I like my LED because it is good for veg and flowering and has given me great results with every grow I've done!

hey there, im currently building my setup as well.
plantlightinghydroponics, is where ive gotten most of my stuff so far. its a great site, and almost always the cheapest i find.
also the shipping is discrete, and it comes out on the CC as Aladdin's lights

so far i bought the blockbuster 8" reflector
one of the reasons i chose it, is because of this reflector test. check it out, the magnum xxxl is on there

i also bought the galaxy 1000w selectable ballast you talked about. i say you should also go for a dimmable digital ballast. that way 1000w is an option, and if its too much, you can back down to 600w. also i heard that when the bulb is at the end of its life, the turbo charge 110% option can squeeze the last of the bulb out.

i plan on going with either a 4x4 tent or a 5x5 tent.

right now, since im still in veg mode, im bought a MH bulb, and am using the blockbuster and galaxy for veg, but once im ready to set up the tent, i will move them into the tent, and probally go with t5's for veg.

with my setup, im going to go larger then i need, and then dial it back.
probally go with 8" fan which i will lower. which i think will be quieter, then a 6" at high speed.
