This was Mittens. He was my teenage daughter's cat, but we all loved him very much. Last month, the maintenance man where I lived took a .22 rifle and shot Mittens through the heart as he was crossing the yard to go home. Mittens was wearing his collar, was up to date on is shots, and was neutered. The man shot him because my younger daughter finally stood up for herself and beat the crap out of his granddaughter, who was bullying her. The authorities couldn't do anything about the killing of my cat. We have since bought a new home and moved. I really miss the cuddles Mittens and I had in my chair in the mornings before getting the kid ready for school. He was a sweet boy.

Pablo, the female cat that got named with a male name - lol My son wanted a spanish name for "his" cat he brought home 18 years ago so he named her and then figured out he was a she - lmao. The name stuck and of course within 3 weeks of him "taking care of her", she became my cat by default. She's on her last couple of years but still looks like a kitten, the only cat I've ever had and she changed my mind about cats, she's good, friendly, greets me when I come home, and more or less takes care of herself other than me feeding, giving her water and some lovin :) She is a cat though and has that cat attitude, you can see it clearly in this pic. She has been in trouble lately, she seems to like any sort of "kush" pheno and has been caught eating the leaves a couple of times - she's stepping into dangerous ground now ;)

Maybe she has arthritis and it helps her joints :)

Why is that if you don't mind me asking ?
Oh because we want to be able to take off when we want and not have to worry about dog friendly places or boarding a dog. Our cats are cool for a couple days w/ a litter box and food. We used to take our dogs everywhere, but we're flying more now so that's out. I like dogs, but especially after Jack died it took a long time to get over that one. Too painful. He was one of the greats.

I'm more of a cat person anyway. I like OTHER people's dogs. :-)
