My plant is 20 inches today and budding really light, Should I cut or trim up this plant? If so, what should I be cutting off?

++ REP for a good answer on how to properly trim your plant!

I think you could benefit from trimming some of the lower small branches at this point. If you are going after bigger buds and less popcorn. You can progressively trim some of the smaller buds sites on the lower parts of the branches over the next few weeks, just try not to trim to much at one time. For example trim a couple branches then wait a day or two, trim 4-6 bud site and wait a day or two. You are mostly going after the small ones that won't produce much anyway. It won't increase your yield, but it will get you bigger buds and less trimming later on.

You missed the boat. lol.
But if you just flipped them, you're still in good shape. I would thin it out by maybe half. Starting with the bottom and work my way up.
Think about fruit trees...they're pruned to produce the best apples or w/e. Same with mj
Okee Dokee?
Oh and I see you're using floros? That's why they're so light too I think.

Y you say that?
So the plant developed more upper bud sites while it vegged. I assumed you meant topping when you said trimming. Too much trimming can stress a plant, you dont wanna do that in flower. But as Shadeslay said, trimming a little of the bottom couldnt hurt.

I try not to touch any leaf or branch while vegging, i trim about 10 to 12" from the base of the plant up a day before flower and remove small branches on variuos parts of the plant to promote bigger buds instead of a cluster of buds throughout the plant

I wouldn't trim anything you need your leaves. Instead, I would put more/stronger light on that bad boy.

How far into 12/12 are you?
What nutes?
Soil?

YEAH TEN INCHES ON MY PLANTS BECAUSE I ALLOW MY PLANTS TO GROW BOUT 2 TO 2.5 FT BEFORE I TURN TO 12/12 WHEN I HARVEST tHEY FINISH at almost 5ft i grow in 12" pots soiless co fiber so by trimming up it maximizes my airflow and keeps unwanted moisture build up which can create probs(pests) when they mature they look like a lollipop.BY NO MEANS DID I INTEND FOR THIS TO SOUND LIKE I WAS ADVItunas pics 141.jpgSING U TO DO TO UR GARDEN THIS IS WHAT I DO FOR MINE. HERE IS A PIC 6WK FLOWR 46" IF U LOOK AT THE BASE OF MY GIRL U WILL SEE WHAT IM TALKN BOUTtunas pics 140.jpg

Well guys, I'm not on a 12/12 light schedule because many people are telling me Since this is an autoflower plant, to leave 18/6 all the way threw. I have honestly been thinking of setting the timer to 12/12. please leave input on this
