8 days from sprout Jamaican Dream
FFOF no nutes added, water 6.5 pH, (1) 23 watt 6500K CFL directly over her and another between her and my other seedling (which has its own bulb too for total of 3). Temp 81 degrees w/lights on, RH 45%. I just tested the soil pH (the kind you put soil/a capsule of powder/pH balanced water and shake up) and it shows soil to be at 6.0.

She was looking awesome till I heat stressed her 5 days ago (it shot up to 95 degrees after I added more light...I've fixed the airflow problem now and for now lowered light again)

Watered 2 days ago (soil was dry due to high heat)

So is it heat stress and soil pH too low?

This morning she has what I think are her 3rd set of true leaves starting (4 total new leaves) under the 2nd set of true leaves, so she's still "growing" but will she ever look normal again and/or should I be concerned that she looks retarded?

Seriously? 150 views, 4 hours, and nobody has any advice even with those highly demanded pics?

I would just start over with it being that small with so many problems. It has powder mildew also. Thats what the white powder is coating the leaves. Looks near death.

It seems your question is Will she ever look normal again? Probably, if she gets really good treatment for a while, but she has sure been through a lot. FFOF is awfully hot for seeds, she's been dried out, she's been heat-stressed. I would expect her to take a few extra weeks to recover before she can start growing well, especially considering how damaged her leaves are. I'm not sure why the white speckles on the leaves in the first pic, if it is spider mites then it is a pretty heavy infestation.

Hey !!! This is my plant !!!!!

Finally someone else is trying the JD.

I think you need to start again or get some good clones. I have a few mothers of this and they veg so slowly but when they flower - wow - they're rockets.

Eva seeds are not cheap but you will end up with the some nice plants. Next time buy some seedmix or very light soil and start with PH 6.0 water with a root complex. Do not feed them for at least 3 weeks.

You can see JD pics in my Album if u need inspiration. I've done a thread on starting seeds, see below.

As a desperate measure to keep them then leave them outside in a semi-shady non windy spot. I have recovered many plants b4 like this BUT U CAN'T BRING THEM IN AGAIN AFTER (BUGS)

My advise is with the other guy..plant some more just in case but I usually pull them cause usually those kinda plants lack at the end if they make it anyway. Only keep it if you love it.

I agree with all above, you're better off dumping it and start again. Even if it does recover it may not grow to it's full potential.

because she will die in a week or two and you loose 4 weeks instead of two if you start over now.

she looks retarded?
Yes she does. How do you know it isnt still reaching 95 ? do you have a peak memory thermometer ? Its bad heat stress combined with overwatering as you have base stem rot and mildew on the leaves.

Ok everyone...thanks for the input. I'll make funeral arrangements for her (and my other Royal Haze seedling that is almost dead and hasn't even started her second set of true leaves) and start over. That was the only JD seed I had (freebie from Attitude). I'll get some Light Warrior to start off in this time. My thermometer shows current as well as high/low temp/RH each 24 hr period so I know I have the ventilation/temp problem resolved at least for now. Someday I'm going to look back at this and laugh I hope....it sucks being a newb that really did my research but am still struggling w/getting more than a few weeks into it. Thanks again all.
