I have had these seedlings out for three days now in these rapid rooters and they look like shit one has just fallen over and the others coteledons never even opened and look all dry and yellow still> they sprouted and came out of the rapid rooters fine and then this bullshit happened! starwberry blue and blue widdow from attitude i hope they survive but something must be wrong! please helpp me>? :cuss:

doesnt look like that haveing barley anything supporting them and the base. Can you move the lights closers. Stop watering until soil or what ever it is your useing gets dry

Try planting the rooters in soil and see if you can straighten the one that fell over by burying some of the stem. It doesn't have to be totally straight, just leave an inch or so above the soil. They don't need to be that wet.

yeah i got the cfl right on top of them just moved it to take the pics, i mean why should they need support, i have never had to support seedlings

im putting them in a bubble ponics so im not using soil, i thought the RR need to stay in a wet tray??

those are trash man... Where you made the mistake was by not Either A. adding a little piece to cover the hole... or B pinch it a little at the top of the hole...

What it needed was a little risistance on the way out... not much... but just enough to allow the grow to be easier to go down than immediately UP... Also seems like a case of damping off... too much moisture (water) isnt always good especially for seedlings.

For hydro i have found easier to use the rockwool cubes and they provide a nice medium for seedlings and cutting... Good luck.. get some new beans!

thats what i just read was to put a little peace in the hole. so just a little peice stuffed in the hole will help them row down huh?

Yep, I can back that up. I use rapid rooter, you should use some tweeser's and pinch some of the corner of and stuff it in the hole. They don't need much water either. Keep light farther away from seedlings and don't use any nutes. I use poland springs water.
