this is my first time growing.. i started with 8 plants now im down to 1 that looks pretty healthy.. im only using 2 CFLs.. and it looks like its starting to bud.. its probably 2 - 2.5 feet high.. does anyone have any suggestions of what i should do?

i cant really afford to put alot of money into expensive lighting especially in this season..

Do you have it on a 12/12 light schedule? It needs 12 hours of light and 12 hours of complete darkness. You will only get a small yeild using that kind of lights..

Are you vegging or flowering? Must be vegging plant looks sparse. If that is the case the lighting stated above is wrong. Vegging should be at least 18/6 or more.

What are your ph levels?
What are the temps in your grow room?
What fertilizer are your using?
Do you use it full strength?
What is the temp where your plant meets your light?
Do you have a fan blowing the heat away?

well ive been giving them 12/12 for the last 4 or so days.. should i switch back to more vegging?

i only have 2 CFLs running right now.. i was thinking of picking up 2 - 4 more.. or maybe if i veg until after christmas i can afford a better light for flowering

as far as ph goes.. i dont have a tester or anything for that matter

i used scotts soil and plain nyc tap water and the 2 cfl's thats it

also i have no fan

for having a low budget.. i thought the plant was looking pretty healthy

You aren't going to get crap off those plants. You need real lights, a ph kit, fan, thermometer. You have to invest in some real equipment if you want decent results.

That is my plant about a month or so after getting hit by my t5's. She bounced back pretty well. Notice fairly dense growth before putting into flowering.

how many watts are the cfls your using, i could be wrong but if there beastly enough you could get buds, stay on the 12/12 schedule.

what cheap things can i purchase to get this plant in the right direction?

it looks pretty healthy im still pretty confident it can bud if i get some things

ppl need to stop being such cocks here... we obviously know hps are better, but if the man cant afford it dont respond with helpless fuckin responses. you can grow fine with cfls. get atleast 2 more cfls as high watt you can and should do alright. save whatever money(if you get any) and spend that to get more equip for new babies.:peace::joint:

doesn't look terrible man... ide say since this is still your first grow (im in my first grow too, except i did mine outside) don't invest shit... just have fun and watch your baby's grow (they wont grow too big, and the nugs wont be thick at all) but you will be blown away next time at the results when you do stuff right.

Didn't say it looked terrible. Said it looked sparse. Not very dense. If you use the correct tools the product should turn out better. People say they don't have the money to invest in the right equipment but they waste money on cigarettes, booze, buying smoke, going out to eat, drugs, clothes, etc, If you just curtailed these activities you could save enough money to buy what you need to grow quality weed.
