i jus finished my first grow w/ an ebb & gro bucket system, and have decided to switch to 6 inch net pots. ever since the root started comeing through the bottom of the net pot ive been having trouble. here is my situation.....

old container.jpg net pot.jpg on the left is what i was useing, on the right is what iam now useing.

good leaves.jpg badd leaves.jpgleft:healthy leaves in soil. Right: how my leaves look in the net pots n buckets.i got a really strong feeling that this is happening because there is nothing to hold moisture on my roots and the plant is simply way to dry!!! only my second grow so im not 100% on this. any suggestions on how many times a day i should be pumpin water/nutes to my buckets.im jus runnig my pumps how i was w/ my ebb & gro, and clearly it isnt enough! pleae help!

They look healthy to me. Less chlorophyll could mean the plant is just growing too quickly to fill in.. Wait a couple weeks and see if those nodes are the same color.

If you're worried about not enough water, just keep the water level up to the growing medium (probably rockwool.) It's important not to let it sit in water but on top of it. Use the net pot as a guide.

Good luck and TLC!

One more thing get lids for your net pots, the light will breach the hydroton rock and put light to your roots which is BAD!

I'd top feed the plants with a cup of your res water twice daily for a couple of weeks until the roots can grow through the new net pots. Those are 6 inch net pots (which I use as well) and i've learned that the roots need a good 1-2 weeks to penetrate through. Once the roots pop through the plant will most likely no longer need extra water/nutrients via top feed. The plant will be kind of dry for about a week but the plus side is that it will force the roots into the water.

I've been misting my plants with distilled or RO water all through Veg and they seem to enjoy it.

Good luck man!
