the soil looks that wet because i just watered like an hour or two before the picture was taken. homeade soil maybe thats the reason?

as for perlite there isnt alot in it should i just dry out between waterings more??and i only even water when the soil is dry 1 inch down if not more

i use 30% perlite in my mix for drainage. i also make my own soil mixes. smart way to go. w/o more info, my shot from the hip is......wet.

you may have made your soil too hot for the seedlings they don't need much the first few weeks

i used, compost, some soil i found at an old busted grow down the road, horse manure. all mixed up what do u think

i was going to veg these inside untill about april and put them outside. i can make a new mix and start new seedlings? would that be my best bet?

and should i put them in the same cups and carefully get the dirt off or how do you suggest i go about " re potting". thanks alot for the answer though

get a mix together in different cups and have a thumb size hole about an inch or two deep. invert and tap plant, with soil out of old cups. carefully knock soil from around roots. place in new cup up to just below the false leaves. tamp and water in. now you give me one dollah!

yeah okay so tomorrow, im going to make a new soil mix in the morning, i will use the old grow soil, and compost. no horse manure. untill next transplant maybe.
