I'm in the process of cleaning and tearing down the flowering room for upgrades. I don't have any pictures yet, but I'll put some up of the room when its done. I'm trying get the rotation going. I will be adding new plants as they are large enough.

The setup as I see it so far, decisions may vary, I tend to change my mind alot. lol

Flowering Area : 5ft x 9ft x 7ft
The flowering area will have a 4ftx2ft ScROG screen which I'll be using a large baby gate for, will have a 400w hps above it. In front of the Scrog will be a 2.5ft wide by 4ft long area to walk into the room, on the remaining side will have a 1000w HPS. Spacing of plants and how many I haven't worked that out yet, but here is a half ass ms paint sketch of the whole room. The total room size itself I"m building this in is, 9.5ft x 8.5ft x 7ft.
Room Design 2.jpg

The blue circles are where I plan to keep water stored, the small room in the lower left corner will be a drying room / lung room, and the weird looking brown rectangle is going to be a 1ft x 4ft trim table/potting area.

Everything I have is in another room I built recently just for veg, its a little small but will suffice once I get the larger girls out of there.

Here's the "White Widow" clones I aquired from a friend.

This is something from my first grow with some bagseed, it was good smoke, with a slight hint of lemon and pepper flavor. Smells very fruity and citrusy. I reveg'd two cuttings while it was flowering a while back, and they have started to finially take off.

Here are the clones that will veg for a bit while the first three widow's are flowering. I will take the biggest first obviously. I'm not sure how much these will stretch so the first 3 will be a good indicator, on what size I should throw the next set of three in.

The old room has been torn down, and grow 2.0 is now being built. Picked up a Big Kahuna reflector and 1000w Hortilux HPS, and a digital ballast. I'm shooting to get that room finished tonight.

The second LSD seed I planted wasn't breaking dirt, and I was a little worried so i started to dig a bit in the soil, and found it was buried to deeply, so I removed dirt down to it so it can recieve some light.

Here's to heat testing tonight hopefully everything goes well, and hopefully its not a 6am night again.

As usual things are behind. I got the main dividing wall up, and covered. The Big Kahuna is huge, I got it semi mounted, but I still have to center the support its hanging from. I also made the ledge for the scrog screen to sit on. Its not very pretty, but its functional. I"m debating on just painting all the walls, wood and everything high gloss white, and even go poly or mylar on that, at least the paint will be fresh and clean on the walls, and make it easier to clean. I'll get some pictures up shortly.

They are looking a little droopy I snapped pictures after I treated them with Azamax, and they were thirsty and watered after I shot each picture.

I'm pretty excited to get to work on the ventilation today, hopefully it works out well. I have a feeling that the 465cfm fan isn't going to be enough, might have to add something more. I would really like to be temp testing right now with everythign done but what can ya do.

I'm thinking about using my ScROG side for my sativa dominate strains to keep them manageable, I might add another ScROG to the 1000w side to see how well the White Widow does with scrog, being clones I have tend to get very bushy. I'm still working on something to make it easy to flush plants under the ScROG. I'll more than likely stick with Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil again, might venture into on of the bubbler buckets possibly, with one something straight from the cloner.

Speaking of cloner, I need to clean that also, and remove the two remaining cuttings. I left the kush cutting in there a little long and it has acctually grown aprox 5 inches in the cloner, its starting to show some signs of needing nutes.

I'm curious about FFOF and open sesame, being most people say not to use nutes for a little while with fresh soil, how would transplanting into twice the size pot waiting out the stress then flowering work? Would I lose the window when I'm suppose to add Open Sesame, or just add it like I never transplanted? I'll have do do some more research unless someone chimes in on here.

One thing I also forgot to get, another set of ratchet hangers, I love those things, I dont' think I could use chains or those yo-yo ones again. I think I'll run out and get those so I can hang the 400 in the room tonight also. I'll update with more photo's tonight/early morning when I get back home.

Yeah the room isn't finished yet, all sealed up, just need to get the tear away door put on. Having also a slight problem with the 1000w light, not thinking I plugged it into a surge protector that was no where near rated for that kinda power, and fried the surge protector, and a fan that was on the same plug which was odd, cuz the fan wasn't not plugged into the same surge protector just the other available plug on the outlet.

Also as I thought heat is an issue even with the 465cfm fan exhausting into the roof, and a 21" box fan bringing in air from the living room. It was hot outside that day also, so we'll see, going to try to add a good sized A/C to the living room where the intake was put in at, I'm sure winter will not be a problem, but thats a couple months off yet.

I also forgot to take pictures again as usual, really need to get my digital camera back from my girl, the phone pics kinda suck. More personal ramblings to come.

I got things almost wrapped up, got the 400 hps, and 1000w hps and the temps where about 98.5F max, with all my air cooling running, the normal room with no lights was 84.3F. It was veryyy hot outside today, going to have to get bigger a/c for the house, and try to chill the house down to 65-70F and see what happens. Should be alot better grow this round alot more air movement going on, and all the light. Still gotta get the poly on the walls, I'm kinda iffy about putting mylar back up, might just leave it poly for easy cleanup, and a little cheaper. The mylar that is up already is from the last grow.

I sprayed all these girls down yesterday and they were looking much better today.

I will see how the initial 3 do as far as size goes, and determine how many I will bring bring in every 2 weeks, I'm thinking 6 total under the 1000hps, and 1-2 under the 400hps ScROG. I might end up scroggin the whole 1000 over time, but this is experiment number #2. They say three strikes and your out right? lol

The clones are doing well, they really need to be re-potted soon, but I need to get the biger girls out of the veg room first. They are all currently crammed under half a 4' T12.

Fox Farm Ocean Forst Dirt after they rooted in my tote aero-cloner. I think they mighta got a small dose of big bloom. A week or so ago. I think these got roots roughly 19 days ago.

I had set up a veg area prior to tearing down the old grow. It works but need vent still, its was more a place to put them all while I was constructing the flowering room. don't mind the plants, these are from a few days ago, just shows what's keeping them going for now.

I dont' even have a thermometer in there at the moment I'm guessing its bout 85'ish F. Keep forgetting about that with all the other stuff. DOh!

Can't find a portable A/C anywhere, trying all the stores most people don't goto around here now, can't believe they are sold out like that. I know its hot but why in the world wouldn't stores over stock a/c units in the summer. Its very frustrating, can't a mofo just buy some A/C.....

So it looks like the bud room is on hold untill I can find a portable a/c unit.

Actually I'm not really sure its a strain of widow that I aquired from a friend of mine. I should ask him, I thought I did and he wasn't sure but I'll double check.

I found a portable air conditioner, but its only 5000btu, not really happy with that, I'm going to try it, worse case I take it back. I really hope it will get the temp down. I won't know till later today/tommorrow.

Well the best I could do with temps was 82-84 F with the portable a/c in the living room which is next to it, but it also seemed like it needed some time to get the heat out of the house so I put the big girls under the 1000w on a 18/6 for the next day or so to see how they react and see what my max and min temps are throughout a day or two.

I didn't snap very many pictures I was to busy trying to get other stuff done. I did get to repot some of the bigger plants, the widow clones are still in cups, should have a nice root ball in them by the time I plant them to there bigger pots.

I still need to poly a couple walls, and put the bigger girls in some bigger pots, before I start flowering them. Which I have to light proof the intakes before I can flower I'm way behind but I think the extra time taken and not rushing into it like the last one, will be better over all.

I'm going to wait till the temps drop a bit and turn on the 400w hps, and get the scrog side going.

Just an update the highest temp so far today was 85F in the room, as of about 5 mins ago, so in the heat of the day thats not horrible, I would like to see 77-80F personally but fall/winter will be here soon so just gotta make it through till then. I didn't get to check the plants themselves, I just looked at temp.

Going to try to put them in there final containers for flowering tonight. Once temps drop outside enough I want to get that 400w hps up and running. I also need to get some jiffy pods to start some of the seeds we ordered. I wish I would have put the yard stick next to them last night to see how much the 1000w hps helped growth. I should notice a little bit of stretching, the 6 I put in the room were on 24/0 before under shop lights, and now 18/6 under the hps.

I also need to do some veg room upgrades need to get the intake and exhaust put in there. Looks alot more roomy in therer without the mini bushes of widow. lol

Guess thats it really till later tonight. Gotta love the trials and tribulations i guess, sometimes you learn more quickly that way.

Got the temps down a little more by taking the ballast out of the room, and and some ghetto fab'ness with a 21" box fan I made a duct outta the 2x4 studs sealed it with wood and cardboard, and put the fan roughly in the middle, its way longer than it needs to be, because it was left overs from my last veg room, it just kinda fit at the time. lol I won't be leaving it like that, its temp for now. I was hooking up extra 6' and moving it to various places around the room also to see what made a difference, and thats the best I could come up with for now. So intake consists of 2 x 6" duct the box fan on the outisde and a 180cfm booster fan on the upper duct pulling in also, and the 465cfm hydrofarm hooked to the big kahuna fixture exhausting out the ceiling.
