Picking the right Potentiometer?

Hey guys so I just assembled my 8 cob LED'S and the 6061 aluminum that I ordered will be here Tuesday.
I have 8- cxb3590 3500k & 2- HLG -185H-C1400B drivers. I'm going to be wiring then into the same plug and want to know what kind of potentiometer I need and resistor? I live in Northern California so if anyone know of stores that sell them I'd appreciate it. I don't want something cheap so spending is not an issue.

100k i believe. im sure you can search around and confirm that. radio shack is closing 500 stores, so you could scope that out or order online

these are what I have been using for a single driver

wire resistor (lets you dim from 10 to 100 percent) to white wire, blue wire center pin.

If you want both drivers to dim off one pot you would want to get a 50K pot. One pot for each driver you want 100k pots.

So with both drivers being wired to the same power plug I wire both drivers dimming wires to one 50k potentiometer? And what about a resistor for the one 50k pot?

If I wired both drivers to one power plug can I run two different dimmers or does it have to one pot? Or do I have to run two separate power plugs for two pots?

Correct, I have not wired multiple drivers to one dimmer but you would use a 50k instead of a 100k if you were doing 2 drivers off a single dimmer.

Power plugs to power the driver itself? You can power more than one driver off a single power plug, would not effect the dimmer in any way. You could wire them separately or together, just need to choose the right dimmer at that point.

What's size resistor would you use if you wired them to one 50k pot?

I don't know the answer to that one as I have not done it, technically you don't need a resistor at all though.. I would think the one linked would work in the same manner, someone else who knows for sure can chime in on that one to clarify.

10% for the resistor so 50K pot would be 5k resistor would keep it from dimming below 10%

5k resistor with a 50k pot, or anything remotely close like 4.7 or whatever they have. Sorry, missed the previous post

Awesome thanks everyone for the help. Sorry but my next question is does anyone have a recommendation on company's and which pots to use? And does the pot have to be single linear? Or double linear? Or rotary linear? What's the difference and which should I use?

Thanks for the help sorry for all the questions

Main thing to watch out for is not getting a audio taper pot. So linear is what you want,most folks use the rotary linear.
I usually use these pots i get from ebay precision 10 turns

@JavaCo Would this dimmer (100K Ohm 3590S-2-104L Rotary Potentiometer Pot 10 Turn) work for a single driver? I can´t post links, but it seems much like the one you linked to. It is 100k, so I assume it would work, but what confuses me is that it is rated for 2 watts of power, and in several threads I´ve seen mostly references to 0.25w or 0.5w, and I dont get what this wattage rating refers to. Thanks!

Watt´s is not important for this use and if it was then 2W is better than less.

You are welcome.
But I would not like a 10 turn pot because as it says it needs to be turned 10 times for tall the way up and down and you can not make a scale to easy see how it´s set.
