Pick The Strain.

OK .. I am about to grow my first plants ever I will be growing one 3 gal pot indoors. I want a fun high, and absolutely DO NOT want a stuck in the couch high !!!

Here are my choices I have narrowed to ... Please help me pick one to be my first grow ever ! Thanks

Idk, but send me a snow cap clone

and sour diesel in that order...jack herer and kali mist are supposed to be two of the top sativa dom strains out there now a days for the mos part, although i've heard that the newest incarnation of kali mist isn't nearly as good as the older, original genetics once were, but it's still a good pick for sure... and you can never go wrong with a good sour d imo..
what breeders sour d were you looking at full, or are we talking clones here like i'd think with the blue dream thrown in as one choice..

Never had any of those before, but I'd go with what Racer says... I really really want 3 of those in my garden...

If you want a good sativa buzz; Kali mist is a good smoke. The downside of Kali mist is the 13-15 weeks flowering. (Might take 1-2 extra weeks) but all the waiting worth the high it give.

I'm smokin jack herer right now and jack herer oil too.

I love my jack.

Super silver haze is amazing too tho.

definitely not sour diesel, my choice for you would be train wreck. anyone????

wow for your first grow ever those are some kinda "advanced" choices. i would say try somethin easier and more forgivin. but if those are your choices sour d is the truth!!!lol but for what your lookin for i would say jack herer. i love that herb. are you gettin proven clones or from seed? i see some of your choices are clone only so are they all clones? cause that would help make things easier on you.

I will definitely be growing from seeds. I would not try anything overy advanced if it were not for the step by step daily grow book. It makes it waaay too simple, and if I make a mess .... I will just try again

well i dont know where you found seeds of some of those strains but i can think of a few people that would be interested in that!! blue dream seeds?? i like your spirit though "if i mess up ill just try again". my advice for you would still be the same get somethin beginner friendly and K.I.S.S. best of luck to you

Thanks so much for the kind words and advice ! I may start with simple Big Bud The reason I am considering those strains, is I want to be able to sample my own crop ... And I HATE the hell out of couchlock !

no full circle, trust me, you don't want to go with a big bud.. although bid bud is a big yielder, it is known to really lack in the potency dpt.. and personally, i'd rather have a lil bit of good stuff than a ton of crap...
and don't take everyone trying to put you off growing something you like over something easier, no offense to the dude telling you to do so... i've been doing this for a few years now as i always heard the same things.. start with indica's or indica dom strains as they are easier to grow, less nutrient sensitive, finish much faster, blah blah blah... well, i bought all of the hype, and thus far have only grown mostly indica dom strains when i'm yearning for some nice sativa dom smoke for sure..

thinking about it now though, c99 would be something that i'd think you'd enjoy. the smoke tends to be more on the sativa side, yet it still has a nice fast flowering time of around 8 weeks or so.. and c99 is pretty much a lot of peoples favorite smokes easily.. not only that, but if you ever want to do some breeding later on, c99 is a great choice as she tends to breed fairly true for the traits you're looking for..

You didnt answer the question...... If from seed, then were did you get Blue Dream and Snow Cap?..... Those are def clones, or if not crosses...... No shame in starting with a clone, buddy...... Where do you get your seeds?

Im getting a blue widow freebie from attitude seeds i cant freakin wait to see it grow man gotta wait till next season though i want a huge outdoor monster

i actually was thinkin of suggestin c99 this morning.and it comes from jack herer which was on his list. i only advised an "easy strain" because i hear of people havin some many problems. i grew up in farmland and have been growin tendin plants(veggies.house plants) my entire life so i have really always had pretty good luck. but i have a few learnin exp lol. hear is the best advice i ever recieved from when i first started....Its called weed cause its a weed it will grow anywhere and your about to give it love and attention!
