Oh yeah, all those weeds are competing with your plant and choking its roots. pull them up back and away and put down a thick layer of mulch. that will keep most of the slugs away right there

i dug the holes about 3 feet deep 2 feet wide, full of sunshine mix 4. the weed will grow in the hole from the side underground then as thats the only way i can see them competeting lol, will do tho thanks for the tips man. slugs have been a bug pest so far thats why all the leaves are munched in the pic, hope to grow some good foliage while this suns out .
